Default reciever

hey guys

well i bought a rooster and couldnt get it to work. i sent it in to novak and they said it was fine. well today i tried again and no dice. i called novak and the guy said that my reciever was screwed up. i just bought a traxxas so i dont know what happened. i guess i hooked it up wrong and fried it. the guy said that too so now i have to buy a new one. what is a good one? i searched with no luck. im getting mad with this electronic stuff. please help me if you will and maybe i can get this thing running. i know you all are getting tired of me asking stuiped questions but im a newb so dont be too hard

I would just get another traxxas reciever and make sure you have the wires hooked up right before trying anything
