I have a Duratrax mini pulse charger. http://www.rcpcrawlers.com/pics/chargers/0001.gif I have two 3000 NIMH batteries that I charge with it. for some reason when i plug the battery in and charge it. the charger will go on peak charge for a very short while, then flips to slow charge. I have to keep flipping it back to peak charge a bunch of times before the battery is fully charged. then every once in a blue moon i will plug the battery in and it will work normally and stay on peak charge till the battery is fully charged. WTF is wrong with this thing!?

2 things come to mind. Charge leads/connections or an old worn out battery.

battery/charger connections. that makes perfect sense because I remember bumping my battery when it was charging and it flipped it to slow charge. thanks man. i was getting very irritated about that. Im gonna re-do the charger plug and it should be good to go. | |

What brand of plugs are you using? Sermos or deans type are more reliable than most other types.

Don't bump, touch, shake, look at, think about, laugh at, wink at, breathe on, or even come near a charging battery. The chances they false peak because of touching them is highly probable.

It could also be because it (battery) is new.
