tekin rebel 2 doesn't support lipo cutoff so you would need a circuit that cuts off the battery before it gets damaged. try an FX series instead:

I would not run more than 6 cells (7.2V) on a TR2 if you plan on using the BEC.

I've seen an 9.9 volt a123 pack with a turbo on it bumped up to 14.4 volts with a 19t motor and a tr2 on a pede. The esc did just fine for the whole pack (even with using the bec). Now I'm not saying that it could repeatidly do that, or that it was not hurting it, but it survived. It was freakin HOT though!!! It sure did make it seem like that pede had a brushless system in it though, cause holy chit it was fast!

I Damagd A Rebel 2 Running 9 Cell Sub C. That Is 10.8 Volt. The Box Says Only Up To 8 Cell Stk & 10 Cell Mod. I Sent It Into Tekin For Repairs And They Said The Damage Done Was Likely Due To The Power I Sent To It. I Now Run An 8 Pack Sub C (9.6 Volt) On Two 65t Motors. Not A Problem Since.
