Ok, I know the obvious, The HPI has more torque. Thats why i used it in the first place on my crawler (it was cheep, like me Lol). And I recently acquired a Cirrus CS-60 2BBMG servo. It's got the clear case with gears. Anyhow when ya try to turn the servo by hand, ya can on the SF-2, but not the CS-60. The ratings at 6v are SF-2 = 90oz and the CS-60 is 65 oz. I was thinking of trying out the CS-60 in the crawler. It seems to at least hold stronger. But I don't know if it'll be worth my time to even try. what do yall think? I know there are better servos out there and some ain't too bad of price either but I don't feel like spending the $$$ for one. Thanks.

Turning it by hand isn't a good idea, you can break the gears. The MG 945 servo is a great cheap servo if you do need a new one. Just try them both out, use the one that seems more powerful. JRH Last edited by JohnRobHolmes; 08-31-2007 at 07:50 PM.

never knew that. I'll keep that in mind. I don't really NEED a servo, just sometimes I wish I had one with a lil more power. Whats the tprque of the MG 945? I see it in your store but I don't see a torque rating other than that metric one. Whats that in inch oz? Last edited by offroadford4x4; 08-31-2007 at 08:33 PM.

the power is somewhere around 180 on 6v I think. It might be as low as 133oz/in though, specs on cheaper servos are not always true. I know this much, it works awesome on my 2.2 rig with a 6v BEC unit. With the Castle bec turned up to 7.4 volts the servo REALLY gets powerful.
