Default Trinity Speedworks Caliber Questions

Hey everyone,

I recently picked up a used Clod for a good price, and am gonna use the axles for another crawler project. I stripped down and sold off most of the excess parts already, and now I'm at the Motors.

The Clod had a pair of "CALIBER SPEEDWORKS" motors installed. I gotta be honest..........I have no clue what they are. A couple of "Google" searches later, and it seems they are made by "Trinity", and are actually dubbed the "Trinity Speedworks Caliber".

Now my problem is this: It seems these motors are available in 10t, 12t, 14t, and 19t winds (all doubles)...............except I have no clue which I have.

So, does anyone have either:

-Any information on/experience with these motors (yes, I know they won't work in a crawler............that's not what I'm asking)?

-Any idea how I can (easily) determine which wind motors I have?

I'm really not sure what I'm gonna do with the things yet, but I figured before I decide, I should know what I have.

Anyone?

Those motors are junk, they sell for around $15 brand new. One of my friends picked up their 10 turn motor and tossed it in his buggy. I forgot how many runs he got out of it before he had sparks jump out of the can as one of the brush springs bent from the heat.

After that we took the motor out and on the side with the bent spring the brush came out just fine. But the other brush was hung up on the hood. And after we pulled it out, the brush had gouges from the hood because it was such a tight fit.

These are ok motors for tossing into a car or truck with the intention of jumping the truck off a cliff, you could ask Diggler for advise on this style of driving :-P

I have to concur, unfortunately due to personal experience. Dump those motors, they aren't worth the metal they are made of.
