Default Making Battery Packs?

I want to start to make my own batteries. I have never done this and have some questions.

1) Do I need to use a special solder?

2) What gage wire should I use. (I am using IB1400 Cells)?

3) Does the ESC matter on the amount of cells IE 2,4,6,8?

Thanks for the help.

Use a solder with a high silver content. It strengthens the joint, and provides better conductivity of electricity.
I recommend deans silver solder.

It can be bought at RCP or Holmes Hobbies

12 is good for high draw.

Escs should only be used on no less than six cells. Check your esc to see what it can handle. On a side note some escs are made specially for four cell, but we dont use them.

Everything your going to need can be purchased at one of the vendors in my signature.
