|  modified MagMayhem the making     dyno test  its 2bb and i used a mod Epic endbell first timing 0* second 10* third 20* and i win more then 15% efficiency compared to the stock MM  with less then 10 minutes of work  stock MM Dyno test  Last edited by EGRESSor; 04-15-2005 at 02:24 PM. |

| But you lost some torque right? Is it a good mod, trading efficiency (which I'm assuming means less current draw, which equals longer battery life) for torque? |

| yes setting it to 0* timing gives it more torque and you will get better run times. just look at the lathe motors.. if you retard your timing to say, 20* , you would have gobs of torque, bu yet sacrifice the matotr dependabilityBTW-= egressor- can you dyno a stock Lathe 55t motor and see how much torque it has for me? |

| he set it so he could change the timing on the MM motor instead of it being set at 20* timing |

| i really dont think so. i see it raised up on the stock dyno. not very much though. with it being stock, it probably was just sucking more juice. the lower you set you timing, the less juice ya use. thats on reason why people get such good runtimes with lathes. BTW----Jake- I'm working with Egressor right now on trying to get him his Lathe that someone was already supposed to send him. So if i can get it, he will have a dyno for it also |

| the Dyno dont like the 55T lathe motor , rpm and amps are real slow i´ve run it @7.2volts the dyno shows no rpm ... torque5.0 ... watt47 ... eff%63 ... amps10.8 torque10.1 @ 14.4amps is the end , and the armature gets damned hot  |
