Talking Punk RC Dig Computer WOW!!!!!!!

So Robin from Punk RC came to visit about 2 weeks ago to talk to me about some really cool stuff that he had be working on for rc crawlers. He talked to me about his rear steer unit and I was impressed. Then he asked me what I thought was a need for crawlers that his unit could help with.

I told him how I tried a stick radio and really didn't like the control. Now I know that there are plenty of guys here that run sticks and love them but its just not for me. I said that I needed a way to have dig and still run a trigger radio. To my surprize the answer was "That should be easy".

So 10 days later I get a pm telling me I have one in the mail. I picked it up this morning and Robin helped me set it upon my Hustler Clod Super. Size was good too, only about 1.5"x3/4"x 1/4". Within 5 seconds of using it I was sold

The way it works is when you are in neutral you turn the wheels to one side and hold it for a settable period of 1-8 seconds (mine is set at about 2.5) then you will hear an audible beep. Then the rear drive is turned off. You then have dig functions, AWESOME!!!! Go back to neutral, turn to one side for the set period of time, and its back to normal.

Dig can be a huge advantage in a comp rig because you can turn such a tight circle as compared to normal.

The only drawback is that you have to run 2 esc's but its well worth it.

I was a little nervous to put something like this on 2 days before nationals but it was so easy to use its a no brainer.

Check out www.clodmodracing.com to get one.

I'd love to get a video of it but I'm taking off to nationals in a little while so there's no time.

Zach,
Let me know how that worked out for you at nationals.
I was thinking that I need to rename the steering computer to the dual steering computer so it is not confused with the dig steer computer.
I am working on some instructions how someone can run both units.
