Default Need help on Motor/ESC for my Axial AX10

Hi Guys

I'm in process of buying the AXIAL AX10 too.

I'm dealing with few thing...

1. Motor and ESC choices .. I was hoping to get some info on following combo I'm thinking and maybe I can here some Pro/Cons

#1 Integy 55T with Novak Crawler
#2 Novak Goat Brushless system (http://www.teamnovak.com/products/br...tem/index.html)

#3 Crawlmaster, Mamba Max Combo
#4 Novak Goat ESC and use Integy 55T
#5 Mamba Max and use Integy 55T

So far talking to Mamba, I may go #5 as my starting point and later get some brushless motor from Mamba or other...

Actually, I've got a MM and a crawler master. If you're looking for raw, brute power, its hard to beat. But for control, I'd get either a Crawlermaster or a Scorpion 3014 and a Quark33 from JRH. I've got a setup like that too, and I think I prefer it to the Mamba. Either way, you cant go wrong if you buy it from JRH

thanks for info..

I was looking holmes stuff and come around when Castle Creation Tech old me that.. Axi 2820/1212 would be a good brushless motor and seems like this is very similar to Scorpion 3020-14

http://holmeshobbies.com/product.php...5&cat=3&page=1

They told me Axi is good motor as well and Mamba Max will have software update in near feature that will run this good.

I know Mamba Max is my choice of ESC now but motor is still in the air.

may like to experience Integy 55T or V10 55S motor first and get brushless motor later... too many to choose from

The Crawlmaster and Scorpion motors are the same internals, I am just waiting on a new shipment for the Crawlmasters.

The Crawlmaster will not bolt into a stock ax-10, you will need a new spur gear to clear the motor of the gearbox. The Revolver black bolts right in. Otherwise the bolt pattern is normal and the shaft is for normal pinions.

You really cant go wrong with any of your choices, they all crawl great.

I do want to add this choice motor is to use 6cell or 2lipo

I just threat that I may need to go to 8cell? 8cell 2500 will work?

I understand revolver will be a good choice on price and bolt on,

I will look through the ax-10 section and see what guys are using. Basically you just need a larger gear on the gearbox, but I dont know what brands fit.

You will need different cells for an outrunner. AA batts wont work, but 2/3a, lipo, or sub-C would.

8 cells would be awesome otherwise.
