Default lathe motors, caps or no?

anyone have any problems running the lathe motors without capacitors? I've seen a lot of trucks without them.

I had to put caps on my lathe motors, the glitching was out of control. UTRCRC.COM has a great diagram on how to do this if you have any questions.
