Default Quick wiring question

I was running a futaba 3pm with a novak xxl rx on my wk and everything was great. I got a smokin deal on a spektrum 2.0tx and 3000rx.

I wired it all up and synced the rx and tx. I have steering but no throttle. On the xxl, i had the connector from the esc going to the batt/dsc terminal and the steering to the steering. On the 3000 i have the esc connector going to the battery/tel terminal and then the steering to the steering. Where did i go wrong?

There's a slot labeled "THR" which stands for throttle, of course, and that is the terminal for the ESC plug.

I'm amazed it worked at all on the XXL unless the label is shifted or something.
