I have more of a racing backround than I do with crawling. Having built 10+ different versions of AE vehicles using the the hard plastics you shouldn't noticed that much of a difference in threading the screws in. The performance side of them in racing was greatly improved especially when racing on indoor carpet tracks where traction is like a cat on carpet. The hard plastic definitely strengthen up the shock towers and arms letting the suspension actually to its job. I am looking forward to the AE hard plastic for this kit.

I feel like I can see the benefits of it, but at the same time I prefer the look of the black plastic.

Either way, it’s a cool option that they put out for the guys who want to really get into the tweaking of a setup.
Harley if you ever make it to Western Pa let me know I will take you out for some indoor off road carpet racing Don't worry plenty of vehicles to borrow just drive them like you stole them

I did that once and ended up rubbing small metal filings into my lips. Would not recommend.

Please forgive my ignorance.

What are the differences etween the rtf and the kit besides omission of the electronics, body, bumpers and wheels/tires?

Thanks for putting up with a stupid question.

Upgraded all metal trans gears, included reversing shaft, aluminum shock caps, and rings.

You know when you have one of those moments that just make you stop and realize how you overlook the simple things... it’s almost like I just dyed plastic last week.

I really like Traxxas shocks, but I think most people will praise these shocks over them.

How did you kill the plastic? dyed*. It's really simple to do honestly. Boil water, mix the Dye, throw the parts in and check the color of the parts until you get what you want.

He and I are both referring to the fact that I just did that in a video the other day on the TRX4 diff covers and then completely overlooked it when referring to the color of the hard plastics.

Josh speaking of that grey plastic, did you have any issues running screws in when you switched it all over? Some have said quite hard to do.

Some plastics won't take dye, do we know for certain the Enduro parts will?

I remember RPM wheels working perfectly but Tamiya's just not being receptive at all, back in the day when I would buy hideous white wheels...

^^^Just like Codyboy, I dyed all of my RC10 white parts. I used Rit dye and dyed everything including the shock towers black.

You are going way back know I remember that there was a company that actually sold some power dye that was for "RC use only" that came in a small little flip top container. I think it was called Lite Speed but could be wrong. I think I still have a container of it
