Picked my RTR up yesterday. There were three people waiting to see if I was a no show to pick it up.
Big shout out to Paradise Hobby in Fort Myers, Florida for guarding it for me, lolz.

Gonna try swapping the bumpers off an SCX10 Blazer. I think the tube style will look good on this truck. Pics to follow.

Nevermind. Style looks good but the bumper still sticks out WAY too far and isn't quite high enough.

Back to the bumper drawing board.

Scalerfab has 3 or 4 Sendero bumpers on their website.

I've got the Wertymade Boar bumper on the front, and a Scalerfab rear coming.

SSD AR44 brass knuckles can fit the stock C hubs but a little tight. And you will lose BTA.

So new Enduro brass knuckles, diff cover, link mounts are already in progress. As AR44 C hubs dont actually fit new ones need to be made also. Will start other parts soon also...

Yeah I really like those but don’t wanna spend $100 on bumpers if I can avoid it. Still gonna try and get this SCX10 Blazer bumper I snagged for $9 to work.

Anyone else experience severely leaky shocks right out of the box? 3 of my 4 dumped every ounce of oil all over my table while I was working on the bumpers.

Also had one of the rear shocks installed backwards by the factory. Thinking they might be trying to rush these out the door a smidge too quickly.

I dont know if this warrants its own thread so I'll just put it here.

I ordered up the Stealth X gearbox kit (42034) for another project. I wasn't sure whats included as they dont even have a picture or any information up yet, I figured I'd risk it and find out.

Well it is a complete kit, looks like all of the overdrive gears are provided too, just not the 1:1 gear just like the RTR and Kit.

Instructions look good and easy to follow

For $50 I had assumed that it was a complete kit. The overdrive gears being included makes this a real winner. The 1:1 gear not being included isn't a big deal since the whole point of this trans is the overdrive. I thought I was done messing with my SCX10ii, but it looks like a new upgrade is on the horizon.

I know its been said that the brass knuckles will fit- albeit you loose the BTA steering, but do the brass chubs fit?

I also had 3 of 4 leak. I contacted warranty and they sent me some oil and a rebuild kit.

I just discovered last night that one of the rod ends on the servo link was on upside down. There have been some funny posts of things people found installed incorrectly or maybe even not at all.... I would say Friday shift builds, but over there I don't think they get weekends...

If I were you I'd hold tight, SSD has said they're working on it already.

Yep, I'm holding tight for the SSD Goodies. Swapping out to metal beadlocks and different tires already helps it out quite a bit! The only issue is that I really like the way the stock wheels and tires look. I guess you could always replace the ring from the wheels with a ring from some metal beadlocks to see if that would help.
