Knight Customs Bumper for Element RC Enduro. $250!!

I was looking at the Knight Customs bumper on Shapeways last week for the Enduro and it was $113.99. A bit pricey i though, but it looked like a great bumper. So, i have another look at it this afternoon and it's now $250!! Does anyone know how Shapeways pricing works? It seems like the stock market!

Maybee they google your bank info and just charge you a percentage of that...

You can buy a good ender 3 3d printer for around $300 I think and make your own, yea it's not a metal 3d printed bumper but how good can 3d printed metal really be...
Like China pot metal good? Meh...

Milled aluminum can be got for $30 and would probably be much stronger.

The cost of printing a petg or abs bumper once you have a printer, maybee $5 on the high side.

Maybe you already know all of this.

To be honest, i'll just braze up my own bumper. I was just surprised at how much the price changed in a few day. Had it have been $70 or so, i may have bought one to save me the time making one. I have had a Knight Customs 3d printed metal bumper a couple of years ago (Smittybilt i think), and it was great. I think i paid £78!

I looked at it last week and it was far less, about 95.00 plus shipping, Thought it high, for this truck, BUT shapeways METAL, that's EXpensive!!! I even asked for a nylon one, like the cage.
I just looked at it, and now its $207.00...........

EDIT....A buddy was quoted YESTERDAY 85£, TODAY he posted 197£ !!!

I think there is an Issue at SHAPEWAYS........

I have no beef with Knights Customs, Shapeways is a different matter. They seem to be making big profits on other peoples designs and that is a problem IMO.

I forgot he was a vendor. I was also unaware of this being Shapeway's fault so I deleted my comment and I apologize.

I think Shapeways is just trying to hold on and maximize profits before they're obsolete as resin printers start making their way into homes.

I see Knight's products listed for sale in different venues. So this may be a ignorant question but why doesn't Knight's purchase a quality printer and print their products themselves?

It’s a shapeways thing. James seems to be a good guy, brings out quality unlike that other company with an E.
I’m over it, I’m sure he is. But Damn what a great week!!
