Default What I'm doing to my ENDURO!

I don't have my kit yet but I already have plans for a few up grades. This thread is to share what we are all doing to make our trucks a little better!!!

I'm looking at my Power Wagon body hoping that the Enduro makes a fine home for it since the Venture SBK didn't work out.

Waiting for the kit then making a UMG10 body fit whether it wants to or not.

Thanks Codyboy!

I hoping to pick my Enduro up today from my LHS. I look forward to adding things here to share with other Element owners and the rest of RCC.

At some point I will be starting a build thread in the near future.

Default What I'm doing to my ENDURO!

My kit is............coming someday , soon I hope.

My build is for my better half's first crawler / trailer. I was excited when the RTR was shown. My opinion has only gotton stronger as my first truck was Associated, and it didn't fail

Then the kit was spoken about, and the upgrades, made it a no brainer as I had wheels and tires mounted with foams, a spare 4 ch Rx/Tx and a bunch of 2s I dont use.

Ordered up a HW 1080 and wanted to try the Radon 16t vs my Holmes crawlmaster. I ordered the ProLine Comanche body and paint. Metal balls and some spare hard parts

will be here tomorrow.

Yeah its for the wife

I do have a 46 Power Wagon body to go on mine. I also ordered a few of the "hard" parts for mine to help it slide over the rocks a little better.

Yeah, I agree the kit has all the good stuff, but man, I really like the box that has the scale garage. And I wouldn't mind trying out them tires also. So that is why I am going with the RTR. I'll use the stock electronics for now and down the road swap them out for a Mamba X and better servo. I'm still undecided on which motor to go with. I like my Slate motors, but I may try something different in this.

My plan eventually will be to swap the axles and trans over to my VP Chassis Kit. I will probably use the shocks and links as well to start out.

Got mine, RTR version already run it. Very impressed for almost bone stock.
Have changed the servo as it did have a little play in the output shaft. It works, and will be a spare for a 12hr charity event and this will be my main truck. (have backups in case of breakage) Swapped it to the 12% OD and weighted the wheels a bit, chopped the rear body as I inverted the bumper chassis brace which lifts the old anchor well out of the way. Front end I have a better bumper coming from Scalerfab.
Not over fussed on the body as its pretty thin, so an Axial 67 Chevy is making its way on there...

My servo also has/had a ton of play in it. I replaced it with an Amazon 25kg that still has a little play but nothing like the stock one.

I do not have my RTR yet. Thinking first upgrade is the plastic gears that come with the RTR over the builders kit. Then maybe tires and wheels after that.

Now that all the RTRs pop up, I am almost regretting that I changed my order to the kit... on the other hand, I got all the needed parts to finish that kit to my liking sitting right here in front of me HW1080 and the Radon motor are a butter smooth combo.
I think I paint the outside flat black with either some partial clear coat design or maybe some retro red stripes?

Ok guys if I put the time into designing a offset front axle for our new trucks, would there be any interest??? I ordered some parts to build one for my builders kit when it gets here.

If it includes adding in the usual extra bit of weight yes I'd be interested in one

Hey Rob, it has been a while! I will know more by the end of next week, but I should be able to built width to order. I should be able to get XR steering capabilities, but not sure about keeping behind the axle steering. IMO BAS isn't that much of an advantage if the steering in the front is done right!

I'm thinking SSD Pumpkins with brass axles and modified universals, with SSD chub and SSD weighted knuckles. Know more next week!

Body reinforcement! Added Gorilla tape and rounded the slots where the sliders run through the sides of the body. Put tape under each body mount hole to tighten it up when the clips are attached. Also added bolts to secure bed to cab.

Doing this stiffened the body up and does not rattle like it did. It’s solid now!

Hmm, I really like the idea of keeping the BTA steering but I suppose when weighted knuckles for the Element finally come out it would just be a matter of swapping them with the SSD knuckles.

The more I learn, the more weight I run the more problems it creates.

So what Im thinking on this one is just the opposite of my other two crawlers. Both tip between 7 and 9 lbs, perform quite well, So my challenge on this rig is lightweight performance, BUT it has to work .

But as I’ve now got steel balls, I’m ready!
