Re: New Associated Enduro Crawler - Free-Mods & Upgrades I thought SORCA rules required a frame-mounted servo. |
Re: New Associated Enduro Crawler - Free-Mods & Upgrades I think the on-axle servo mount was released purely to provide an option for custom builds using the Element axles... Not an uninteresting idea given the "hard" versions of the housings being so cheap... |
Re: New Associated Enduro Crawler - Free-Mods & Upgrades If anyone's been waiting on the brass or aluminum wheel hex's AE has them in stock finally https://www.associatedelectrics.com/...dapters_brass/ https://www.associatedelectrics.com/...ters_aluminum/ |

And thanks for the update on the wheel hex adapters! Been debating on those or SSD drum brakes. |
Re: New Associated Enduro Crawler - Free-Mods & Upgrades Hex adapters are now available, can anyone confirm what size machined hardware is required, or are they included? https://www.associatedelectrics.com/.../details/42104 |
Re: New Associated Enduro Crawler - Free-Mods & Upgrades Ahh, its factory, might I suggest stock fasteners. Hang up and Drive |

Re: New Associated Enduro Crawler - Free-Mods & Upgrades Just a free tip. If you are going to upgrade to one of the optional hard plastic parts, as I did. Make sure you first thread a screw thread through the holes before you start mounting .... saves you a lot of stripped screws .... The hard plastic is really hard! It works great, frame is a lot stiffer. |
Re: New Associated Enduro Crawler - Free-Mods & Upgrades 1 Attachment(s) Not sure if it has mentioned here, but my rear axle bearings were sliding out past the screws that hold the bearings in. I put washers on each screw to help hold in the bearing. This may be due to the fact that I replaced the stock screw with SS and the SS may have a smaller diameter head. Just a heads up to watch out for your rear bearings. Attachment 382723 |

I did not compare the SS screws with the stock black screws, so I'm not sure if it is a screw issue or the screw hole placement issue. Either way the washers will keep that from happening again. I will say, I use Team KNK screws on all of my rigs and I have had zero problems with any of their hardware or products. |

Re: New Associated Enduro Crawler - Free-Mods & Upgrades High Clearance SCX10 Rear Crossmember by Harley Designs I can confirm that this fits and makes the chassis a lot stiffer at the rear. Recon G6 Belgium tested. Take advantage of this for those with a 3D printer. https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2286216 https://cdn.thingiverse.com/assets/6...115630%5B1.jpg (The fuel tank brace is my own design) |
