I used the SSD Knuckles/Rear axle weights on mine too. I used KNK brass hexes (8mm for a little extra clearance) also. Definitely well made.

Maybe it's enhanced slightly by perspective but that last photo shows some pretty awesome side hilling. I'm pretty sure my rig would be out of frame at the bottom if I tried that. Sent from my LG-H870DS using Tapatalk |

Nice pics at CDM! Glad to hear that "line" has been conquered! I'll be waiting for the YT video! |

The difficulty with that line is at the entry at the bottom for me. Last time I tried it (both BOM and Enduro), I either kept flipping over backwards, or I kept slipping off that rock at the bottom. There is a little divot around the rear right tire of the truck, and you need to get that tire away from it or you get no traction up front to pull yourself up. | |||

Hey man, I just used your build thread notes to finally put the 12% OD in my RTR. Wanna say thanks and I appreciate your effort putting that together and even though it’s been a while people are still using it...and I kinda tripped out seeing you said Noleen grease is still available on EBay. That’s some pretty old MTB stuff by now, I imagine. Also digging your video moving uphill with Santa Anas. Cheers, dude. |

Ok, I'm a little behind on my updates.... more like massively behind. Anyway, this happened on a tumble from my run posted above on New Year's day. Fender fell right off. It was such a clean break that it looked like I cut it off! |

Here are pictures and the video from my run on Jan 4 at CDM. You'll notice in these pictures that I succumbed to the dark side and added some rotating mass (brass wheel weights I got off of eBay) to the wheels. As this rig is pretty much full-time on the rocks and less of a trailing rig, it helped quite a bit. There's actually another mod I did that I'll discuss later, but the rig's capability at CDM has increased in a very positive way. I don't full throttle often, so hopefully I don't wear out the axles or diff gear too quickly. Last edited by soze; 03-31-2020 at 10:36 PM. |

The Enduro Sendero went for a run with some 1:1 rigs last month. |

So the stock RTR body is beat to sh*t. I decided to change it up in the name of squeezing out more performance. The GMADE BOM cage that I run forces me to run at around 324mm wheelbase for the rear tires to clear the cage. The cage also doesn't stick out past the rear wheels too much, but it's not any better in clearance length-wise vs. a stock Enduro Bed. It's only got advantages in width clearance. So I got a new Enduro Sendero body and started painting up the cab. I also got some IERC parts to switch up the rear. IE-RC Shorty Bed IE-RC Head Rack IE-RC Rear Shock Towers Painted the new body up with the following Tamiya Paints. Tamiya PS-30 Brilliant Blue (ebay) Tamiya PS-5 Black (ebay) Tamiya PS-55 Flat Clear (ebay) Decided to go with the yellow headlight lenses this time around. Here's a look at the IE-RC rear shock towers. Mounted the rear towers up. Time to assemble the IE-RC Shorty bed The IE-RC Headrack finishes off the look of the Shorty bed Side rails that come with the Shorty bed I was a little worried at first with the IE-RC shorty bed. From the pictures it looked like it would be some heavy steel parts like the Scalerfab stuff that would adversely add weight to the rear of the truck which I didn't want. After talking the IE-RC, they assured me that this was not a heavy steel part (probably aluminum) and it was super light. It turns out it is really light. Lighter than the GMADE BOM rear cage. What I like about this bed is that it is flush up against the end of the chassis rails, so it's really short giving the rear a really good angle. The original instructions for mounting the shorty bed on the Enduro called for drilling holes through the chassis brace, which I was not willing to do, since the chassis brace didn't look shaped in a manner to give you a clean drill-through. So I instead opted for "lexan scrap aided design for prototyping" and came up with this solution. And with that the GMADE BOM rear cage is retired for now. I really love the look of it, and I might bring it back for some other rig. Last edited by soze; 03-31-2020 at 09:27 PM. |

Took it out for a nice test run with the new shock towers on Feb 16th. I'll post up the video in this slot when I have it processed. (I'm behind on videos too...) Last edited by soze; 03-22-2020 at 04:59 PM. |

Cool! I was wondering if I'd see someone using that IE-RC bed, the main tray is listed as aluminum on the site - just the side rails are steel - and it looks like a real performance-enhancer! Are you going to add the spare carrier? Considered getting one myself, but since I already have at least one, maybe 2 utility/tube style back half trucks, my Enduro is going another direction after all. My Element utility bed never even got painted, although I did mock it up for a photo or two. |
