I did a quick test over the weekend with the rear BOM cage setup. Overall, I like it and discovered where I want to tune it. I've already done some changes, but I'll post this first for chronological order. Youtube vid of the run: https://youtu.be/Mnl2DJHMVWU Last edited by soze; 01-26-2020 at 10:50 PM. |

I watched your video. The truck looked like it performed very well. I was surprised to see that you were using the BFG krawler tires. Those tires look like they were hooking up really well on the rocks. Sent from my LM-G710VM using Tapatalk |

Killer job, soze! That's the ONLY way I'd run that body - looks excellent with that bumper and cage, and the fenders in black - although I'd still trim the leading pointy corners off those front fenders... and the cut-outs for the sliders in the rocker panel area still drive me nuts - but that's just me! |

I would go but it's after work and I'm beat. We've tried to get there the past two weekends, but were too late - lined out to PCH, you can't even get near the place.

Haha might as well be trying to crawl your rigs up the matterhorn! Oh wait disneyland is probably less crowded than cdm right now lol Great work making the cage working without sacrificing much capability. I think I'm gonna give the axial honcho cage a shot, when replenish my fun tickets account. KEEP ON ROCKIN! |

So after my last session out, I kind of wanted to get the rear suspension at a more ideal angle. I moved the lower shock mount location from the lower shock mount position to the same position as the lower links. Here you can see where the original lower shock mount position is versus the new location. A nice bonus to this change is that I have somewhere to mount a swaybar link should I decide to use one. I also finally finished painting up the fuel cell from the GMADE BOM cage kit. I also did some touchup paint on the Enduro body as well as stuck some of their nice sticker on. |

Likin' the red fuel cell! That'd look real good with a Hi-lift jack across the bar just behind the back window and maybe a fire extinguisher on either side mounted vertically just inside the "ladder" bars... |

NICE! your vid popped up in my feed (as they always do) haven't watched yet but i will later. one thing that i cant unsee about the cage, and i know its practical application (lower CG) but how in the heck is your 1:10 scale driver going to get that spare out incase he needs it on the trail!?!?!? hahaha i get it but had to say something ;) also you totally need to raid a Barbie hand-held mirror and tape it to your broken bracket LOL do eeeeeet!!!!!!!! |

So.... it actually wouldn't be as hard as you think for the 1/10 driver to get that spare out. I'll have to take a picture, but that tire rack can flip up. I have it zip tied down right now though. If you check out my BOM thread, you'll see how it's actually supposed to work, but I didn't screw in the bottom of the tire rack, and now it's able to flip up.

That cage looks like it sticks pretty far out back. Is it hurting your departure angles?
