Remember I stated this is a 2s rig? Well the 16t was too slow for me. So mom gets a 13t Crawlmaster and the 16t is in Bea now.

Added a couple things, servo winch is run thru the GMade bumper and fair lead, shackles still in shipping.
I haven’t gotten a rear bumper, as I’m really not sure where we will go. I will leave the fuschia lexan for now. I did do an interior from a bomber, waiting on heads so it can get glued in.

We hopefully will get out tomorrow for Moms rookie orientation and crash test session........ with my SCX10ii running 3s and the 16t, speeds should be equal.

Shockingly Well!
It’s a lightweight compared to my others, by a couple of pounds.
Hits lines well, sidehilling was much better than my other trucks. Turns on a dime thanks to the OD. Even with the VXTs grip was quite good.

I did drive it up a wire incline at 50+ degrees and it stuck well. A small bit of torque twist was noted, I suspect my soft springs contributed, but this runs in a 60% droop.

Looks great Mike!

Glad to hear to hear it drives good! I was wondering how these lighter rigs drove. Sad, but I have yet to get mine of the bench and out on the rocks!

OMG

I’m speechless! My better half / rookie / noob drove the snot out of this today. Went turtle a couple of times, rolled through and kept driving.

Truck was smooth and quiet, 2s and a 13t Crawlmaster barely got warm, as we ran for a solid hour. I know the tires limitations when wet and sandy, She wheeled through it all and I went they the truck afterwards, still like new, with a few scars earned!

I'm glad to hear that things went well. Any issues with the truck?

Zero!
I went 2s on this to keep breakage down , The 13t is perfect for her on 2s. We went out today I ran the VS4 on 3s with the 2700/MMX and we had a blast. I was a lot faster, but on 3s she would be equal. I dropped the 16t Radon in “Bea” My SCX10II, so those two will go next, should be about equal speed wise. This rig is surprising, I’ve yet to have any issue with the panhard mount, but will watch it , I do have a metal replacement bracket to mod here if needed.

But yeah, I agree. This hobby definitely needs more women. As long as they don't make me look TOO bad on the course. I met a couple that can crawl circles around me.

We spent an hour in the heat, she kept going! I was quite surprised and happy, she picked it up quickly.

Hey, that's awesome! Glad to hear she got out and enjoyed it.

Also great to know the Enduro did well without any breakage and earned a few battle scars!

One small issue was the winch. My controller would not work due to the switch setup. So I bought a venerable GT3b on eBay for $31.00 ,the flashing programmer,a high power 5v converter so I could add the 2s LiPo I had.
Solder in leads and converter, flash new software, set up and work winch. Add connector for LiPo, add connector to LiPo, set lo voltage alarm. Done!!!
Total cost, $46.00 plus battery.
Time spent hour at best, over two days as we watch Dorian churn!

Nice work, mikemcE,

Hoping you don't get more than a gentle sideswipe from the big "D"...

My IT support job is currently watching over dozens of locations in its prospective path, I suppose tomorrow we'll get a better overall picture of what's gonna happen.

Yeah, now it’s stopped, rising MB, hopefully will go North from here.

I had read the horror stories, but this went smoothly, without any errors when following instructions faithfully.

My worry was I never powered it up stock, before modifying, but perfect.

Nice find on the FlySky! Sound like a winner for the winch. I have the same radio hooked up to my SCX10.2 and have had zero problems with it.

When I first heard about Dorian, the first person I thought of was you. Hoping that it moves north and misses you. Looks like you may be far enough southwest that you might be ok.

Great build, that GS01 bumper looks good. I went for the SCX10.2 Blazer bumper set, which also fits well.

I love my gtb3 for crawlers. I did the firmware voltage reg. And bearing mod on mine. It’s perfect for what I need. I run mine on a 3s LiPo lol it never dies
