Default Machined Idler Gear

Anyone know the difference in weight between the stock cast idler gears and the Factory Team Stealth X Machined Idler Gears ?

I don't know any thing specific about these exact parts, but generally speaking the weight difference between a cast/machined part would be zero/negligible - this is assuming they're both made of the same material (i.e. steel) and have identical geometry.

Not sure if that helps, probably not.

should be the same weight. But the machined gear could be modified if you want to shave another gram or so.

Thanks

My plan is to use the Element gearbox in a shafty rig with AR44 axles to get more overdrive.
But the heaviest parts are most likely the outdrives, they are massive......

I can tell you the whole assembled tranny with the machined gears weighs 1lb.

If your concerned about weight you could also use the plastic gears, they come with the stealth X tranny kit.
