Default Geeman's Enduro

Hello Folks,

So I got an Enduro for myself. (I called it a birthday present) I've been wanting a Scaler style rig for a while being that my SCX10 was liberated from me.

I got the RTR version because I can't get cheap stuff and if I had to buy all the electronics by themselves my wife would've never cleared it.

Stock out of the box:
"There should be photos here, but I can't figure that part out."

Removed the front bumper and tucked the rear because you have to:
"There should be photos here too, but I still can't figure that part out."

Removing the front bumper made a world of difference. That thing was useless. The only thing it did was protect the body.

I will be using ScalerFab bumpers and sliders.

Looks good Geeman!

I’ll probably get the ScalerFab bumpers also.

Sweet man great pics. Looking forward to getting mine done and off the bench (aka kitchen table with a towel down) and on some rocks. And yep got my Scalerfab bumpers in hand too. Going with an 11.8” WB under the 66’ Bronco body

Hey folks, I finally got the Scalerfab front/rear bumpers as well as the sliders installed. I'll try to get some pictures posted up later today after work. I had some issues mounting the sliders, but it was totally caused by me. Once the user error was corrected they installed perfectly. Because I had the second bar added I did have to use a old school "L" shaped allen to get the screws all the way in. There is some additional trimming of the body that I need to do (rattles against the rear bumper)

Everything looks great and fits amazingly.

I believe that I will need to adjust the shocks some due to the added heft/weight of all this steel I just added. I forgot to weigh the bumpers individually, but the sliders weighed in at 4.9oz each. I need to get it out and do some crawling to make sure I didn't hurt its abilities. I will be adding some Beef Tubes items to help with weight down low once the items get released.

p.s. I have started adding the "hard parts". I've got the skid, bumper mounts, rear shock hoops and rear frame support done so far.

The only other "mod" i have done is a metal servo horn.

Nice, I like that Bronco body. I've got one, but I haven't decided what rig to use it on yet. Will be curious to see how it looks on your Enduro!

Default Geeman's Enduro

So I took the Enduro out with all the new Scalerfab parts. I love the bumpers. I think I went wrong with the sliders...too heavy. Truck doesn’t like the extra weight. (About 10 oz) They look awesome... but I think they hurt the performance too much. Luckily scalerfab has a trade in program. I think I’ll get the ones without the plate... maybe stick with the stock sliders? I’m not sure yet.

I also added the machined gears. Suckers are heavy. I forgot to weigh them though

Here’s some pics of the Scalerfab stuff installed.

Bummer about the weight issue with the sliders. But they do look good. That front bumper though, don’t you dare change that, looks awesome! Great choice.

That makes me excited! I've got a set of front and rear bumpers on order from ScalerFab that should be here in a few weeks.

From the two plastic diff gears ==> to metal two gears.

50 gram add...a lot of weight

Thank you for the info celt. The 50 grams added for the 2 gears seems minuscule in comparison to the 10oz I added in sliders.

I'm not sure how I'm going to handle this conundrum? One of 2 options I believe. I either just go with the AE "hard parts" sliders or the Scalerfab sliders without the plate.

Thoughts? GO...

So I’ve decided to take off the Scalerfab sliders and go with the “hard” sliders and trays. This will save me a huuuuge amount of weight. I believe that I have all the “hard” parts in my hands. Now I just need to get them all installed.

Today I received my new SSD Assassin wheels. I need to get those changed now too.

I have too many parts/changes to make and not enough time to do it... good problem to have I guess
