Been super busy, got the body prepped and masked, hope to have some time to paint this week.

I teased the direction I was going to take with the body earlier in my thread when I called the Enduro Rock Crawling Perfection !

What got me into RC waaaaaaaay back in 1984 was the Team Associated RC10.

I loved that car and it kills me that I sold it.🙁

With age comes wisdom?

I always wanted Associated to build a Crawler. I was the first (I think) to use a Stealth transmission out of an RC10 in my Crawler back in 2005 when most where running Stampede transmissions.

When “Element RC” announced the Enduro, I immediately flashed back to my beloved RC10 and a 💡 went off in my head! 🤩

So when I decided on the Bog Hog body, I knew I wanted to do an homage paint scheme to the Original RC10!

Im not patient enough to paint one myself. So my LHS offered to give me a little help.

I present to you my Element RC Enduro RC10 (Rock Crawling Perfection)!

You can drool all you want, just don’t touch! 😝

My inspiration!

To say I’m stoked in an understatement!

I need to order some Element RC Enduro decals to finish it off, but I just couldn’t wait to post pics!😀

Hell, yes!

That is fine - I had a Team AE RC10GT nitro in those exact colors, my first nitro back in the day.

Looks astoundingly cool - you need to submit it to some sites and magazines...

Thank you! 👍🏼

Still need to add a few finishing touches

Need a small bumper and some Element RC decals.

Thats sweet! They nailed that paint job man. I agree with durok, it needs to be in a magazine.

HOLY CROW!! What a cool body. It was hard to get a visual before paint. I didn't think it would look this good. I dig the faux cage in the back. Definitely magazine worthy for sure. Well done!!

I've been eyeing this body for a SMT10. Looks great on your Enduro though!

You knocked it out of the park with this one Dez!

Looks great and a nice way to pay tribute to a great classic!

You got me beat by 4 years. My love for the RC10 started in 1988! Sorry to hear you didn't keep that legend! Luckily I'm a hoarder when it comes to R/C and I still have my original gold pan.

Thanks B!

One of the few RCs I really regret selling.

I’m half tempted to buy a re-pop RC10. Building it. And just setting it on my shelf as homage to the OG! 👍🏼

Dez, did you attempt to get the sliders to work? The body is flared on the sides towards the back. I had already planned to narrow the sliders but now I want to figure out how to get them to match the angle of the body.

If you trimmed the lower portion of the body you could probably get them to work.

You’ve have to reduce the legs of the slider that attaches to the electronics plate and drill a new hole, but I’m pretty sure it would work. 👍🏼

Got out this afternoon with the Enduro for a little rock therapy.

Even remembered to take a few pics!

That body was such an excellent choice...

Wheel/tire package are sized just right!

Good to see it out on the rocks.

It did well.

I may play with the gearing a bit to gain a bit more wheel speed.

I’m also running the Traxxas 8042 (yellow stripe) springs with no pre-load. It’s nearly a full droop set up.

I’m still running the factory 30wt oil, I think I’m going to try some 40wt oil to slow the slow the dampening down a bit.

I think I’m going to dial back my drag brake a bit as the Enduro would tend to end over when I let off the throttle suddenly.

I may also look into a set of high clearance links for the rear, just to gain a little bit better clearance on break overs.

Overall it was very stable, predictable, and smooth.

Just needs a little bit of tweaking to my personal style and I need to get more wheel time to better learn the nuances of this rig.
