Default Yet another Enduro thread...

So, I'm going to skip the unboxing and brand new truck pics because a) there's already a million of those and b) I unboxed at my LHS to let everyone there check the truck out and didn't take any photos.

First thing I decided to address was the shiny grey paint. Figured this would look a lot better flat (like a primered body), and I also wanted to break up the grey, so stripped off the decals, did some masking, added some black and flat clear and ended up with this:

One thing to note, the stickers/decals on this truck are very thin. This is good news for getting them to conform to the body and not be super obvious, but bad news if you wanted to try and remove them and put them back on after paint, so I had to order a new sticker sheet. Thankfully pretty much ALL of the spares are already available, unlike some other manufacturers (*cough*axial*cough*). Also had to add a 3S shorty LiPo in order to qualify for free shipping...

Also wanted to fix some of the floppiness in the cab-bed connection, so I made a new bracket incorporating a third bolt for some added rigidity.

Doesn't eliminate the flex, but it's a lot better.

Next up were the anchors (aka bumpers). Replaced the front with a rando china bumper that was floating around in my spares box. Moved the rear in a bit for now, will probably trim the bumper so I can move it in a bit further if I don't replace it altogether.

Here's what she looks like after her first thrashing on the rocks:

Decals came in yesterday, but they're getting put on hold for a day or two for my other new project...

Really like the matte gray on this. Better than stock.

Nice clean door lines, too.

^^^ As was said above - and that bumper choice turned out very nice!

Looks even better with some dirt thrown at it...

New printer is up and running. Was concerned it might not live up to the hype, but I'm loving it so far. Plus it would appear I got everything right on the build first try, so that's nice, lol. Now I can work on some new designs for the Enduro tomorrow...

Nice! I like how it looks with the flat clear. Front bumper looks great too!

I like what’s in the box! Can’t wait to see what you make with it.

So, the parts teased in the last post were new cab brackets with a built in mounting tab for a bomber interior.

You do have to notch the interior a few mm where the mounts are. I also was a couple mm off on the mounting holes, but I've since adjusted the files so that won't be an issue going forward.

Here's where the interior sits using these mounts and some velcro at the front edge.

And here's the final product. Also "rolled down" the windows...

Also finally replaced the decals I had removed for paint.

I'll be putting these new files up on myminifactory shortly.

Yeah, Bomber interior.

As for the antenna, I just removed the tube and am letting it lie loose, highly doubt it will be an issue, 2.4 seems to be a lot less finicky about antenna orientation...
