Default Finally in my Element?

Long story short, I've always loved r/c's but I've only owned the fast basher style besides a Losi MRC that I dumped waaaay too much money into. I've wanted a 1/10 scale since before Axial introduced the SCX10 but never got one. Once I saw the Element I knew it was the one.

So far I'm loving it, but of course I want to customize it. Overlanding has always excited me and what I dream of doing with my 1:1 so the TRX4 Sport expedition rack caught my eye for this truck. A great member on here helped me out with pictures of this rack on the Enduro bed so I purchased one. I figured out how I want to space the rack to match the width of the bed, but now I'm having difficulties deciding how I'm going to mount this thing. It looks like the bed rails aren't wide enough to use the rack mounting plates, so I thought about just screwing it straight into the rails but I'm worried that with rolling over it will pull the screw head straight through the lexan, and again it doesn't look wide enough to put a washer underneath to distribute force or anything. Maybe screwing it straight through and using some high strength glue along the rails? Does anyone have any suggestions? I'll get some pictures to show what I'm talking about when I get home

Sounds like you're looking for some sort of spreader... maybe some square styrene with screw holes drilled in it... or something could probably be 3D printed fairly easy...

I have both, I'm sure I could probably design something if you wanted...
