Curious what makes them look so terrible? I've built several SCX, TRX, and now Element based rigs. I don't see anything terrible with them. Granted they're not very groundbreaking compared to other options out there, but certainly not terrible.

I think its all down to the shape of the pumpkin, just being too squared off. Personally I can live with it though if a better contoured diff cover (for sliding over rocks) comes out I'd likely swap them.

Yep, square like a block of wood and then c-hub adapters with the securing screw at the bottom (C's can't be flipped due to kingpin inclination), not sure what the designers were thinking. It should be rounded to slide over rocks.
