I was hoping the paint would be up to par I’m super happy the k5 grill fit nicely because the “c10” grill was off. I did manage to cut the radiator out of the c10’s grill mount and have it mounted in there but the k5 grill have cross bars in the middle that I may trim out yet. Not sure if I can without loosing hold of the grill will have to look into that. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Paint and weathering came out great and I see you got rust in all the right places this year likes to rust.

Thanks guys I did my research. And it was unbelievably hard to find pictures of rusted k10’s lol I kept getting pristine c-k10 pictures on google. But I found a few and went with it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Thanks guys. I’m still waiting on my slightly bigger hexes. Decided to change up the wheels but they just didn’t clear the knuckles. So wider hexes should fix that and then I can get the tires swapped over. I really want to run it this weekend so we’ll see which wheels it still has on it Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Hexes and inner fenders arrived today. Little tweaking with the inner fenders and they bolted right up. Spaced the rears off the slider with axial pivot balls so it’s not hanging below the body. Got the tires mounted on the new wheels and now it’s starting to look like a real barn find. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Got out on a local trail to test this thing out. So far I love the way it is. It sidehills great it climbs great. Only issues I had were hang ups on the front bumper which I already expected. The element crew did a dang good job on this rig. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Thanks definitely felt good to get it on the trail. Only issue I had was these damn rc4wd wheel nuts came loose again. Every truck I’ve run them on they always loosen up. I’ve even used loctite but they always seem to find a way to loosen up. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Thanks guys I was going to just weather the bronze wheels I had but was reminded of the rc4wd wheels that were made to resemble this era stock wheel. So with the weathered body I decided that’s the route I needed to go. This is my Barn find truck Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Took the element with me to a local event. Ran my scx for the whole course then took the element out to play around after since I knew it wouldn’t do some of the crazy obstacles this course had on it. Only snapped a few pics but this truck still impresses me how good it drives for being pretty much box stock. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

It's seriously not your fault... But - a little part of me dies inside every time I see that truck. It's just that I know I'll never paint a body that will come out looking so damn perfect! |
