Nice build thread!

Great job on all the metal work! The cage and bumpers turned out really well! I would have never guessed this was your first time brazing!

Subscribed and looking forward to seeing more!

a couple of extra mods for this rig

I really like to install upgrades on my vehicles even id they are not needed I like to customize a make my rigs unique

Treal Brass Diff Cover 84g Heavy Differential Cover for Element RC Enduro Gold
Element RC Enduro Axle Housings (Hard)
HeyOK Performance Brake/Reverse/Driving Light Controller

I forgot taking pictures during the process,

but this is a picture of the final wiring managing the following electronics: stock motor, stock ESC, Castle creations BEC; Reefs HV servo, HeyOK Servo Winch, Stoplights, front lights

Heavy Brass Diff Cover installed

A few more upgrades for this rig

MIP X-Duty™, Center Drive Kit, All Element RC Enduro - 19110

SSD Aluminum Pro C Hubs Set Black for Element Enduro - SSD00376

New Wheel/spool and kevlar line for my HeyOK Servo Winch (3-Position)

A couple of extra running lights to take advantage of the HeyOK Performance Brake/Reverse/Driving Light Controller
this little device has 4 outputs: brake lights; reverse lights and always on and driving lights that turn on when moving forward

HEYBKFWRV

First, let's change that plastic c-hubs, you have to be careful mounting the aluminum parts in the correct angle. These ssd parts don't have the mark to align the c-hub to the front axle

Then, let's upgrade the stock plastic driveshaft. the MIP parts do not include instructions but you can find it Instruction Sheet available at MIP website

wiring

replaced parts

Your work with brazing and metal is amazing. I'm not quite ready for that part of building, but I look forward to trying it some time in the future. Your truck looks great so far! I love the look Element gave this Sendero body, but I'm' really digging the truggy look too. Keep up the great work!

I paid 140 USD + international shipping for the cage on my first crawler but after some research, I found that Silver brazing is a good option for this kind of applications and I can save a lot of money too

Basically you just need silver solder and flux, map gas torch, rod bender, and limes to notch the rod ends

It is easy to find some examples at youtube, I really encourage you to try, this forum also contains a lot of information and useful tips from experienced builders. In my case, I always try to share the tools and material used for my builds

it is a trial and error method but having a unique a self-made part installed on your rigs totally worth it

Oh, I've definitely been researching it and have watched quite a few videos. It's something that's on my radar to check out, but I want to get a designated workspace (workbench) set up before I start with a blowtorch LOL. I'm currently working off of a folding table in an extra bedroom. Like most of my hobbies, I do tons of research and get into it little by little.

Curious, why aluminum for the skid plate? I heard folks say that stainless steel or plastic scrapes better but aluminum tends to hang up on rocks easier? Not sure if that's legit or not...I have an aluminum bumper but don't really notice it hanging up any more than plastic.

I have a set of hard plastic braces coming in the mail to help stiffen mine up. Was more in my budget than metal was.

I think that unless you are in the competition scene you are not going to notice a difference between using aluminum or plastic skid plate

I ordered that because I notice that a couple of threads on plastic parts are damaged so the screws are loose

Do you want to stiff your chassis? I really recommend the CLUB 5 Aluminum Servo / Bumper Mount

for rear chassis brace, any generic rear "h" brace for scx10ii will work and you can find cheaper options

I was about to get that servo/bumper mount but it will not be compatible with the IFS which is the goal of my Enduro :/ otherwise that and the high clearance link are a must from Club5

do it, bro

I was afraid at the beginning but is not that difficult

my metalwork is very basic but building your own parts it's really entertaining and you can save some cash too

to have truly unique custom parts on your rig is very satisfactory

new parts for my enduro

Jazrider Aluminum Gear Box Mount Skid Plate
Jazrider Aluminum Front Chassis Brace Battery Tray Mount

I also have some SCX10ii hardcore rc bend links on my spare parts box that I didn´t use for my Unimog project let see if it would fit on my enduro

This is the aluminum battery tray already mounted, great fit, some the screw threads on the original plastic part were damaged so this part solve that an also reinforce the chassis stiffens

the aluminum trasmission mount also fit great,

finally lest mount the links, apparentelly those fit well despite I notice an small differece in length, I am not sure it that will affect the performance, but due to the covid-19 quarentine I can´t test it on the trail for now

Since february 2020 up to now the mexican peso had lost 35% vs us dollar, so I can forget about buying the Holmes Hobbies REVOLVER or PULLER PRO motor for this rig,

I installed a couple of tabs to the roll cage to mount the reverse lights

now that my element enduro is fully upgraded I change my mind so now I am planning to sell the chassis, bumper and roll cage to convert it to a power wagon
