Default Game Changer Enduro

This project started out with a kit Enduro build that went a couple of different directions before I decided on this version. So Enduro+Game Changer 4.2=

Back up a bit for my thoughts on building the kit in stock form, I was overall impressed with the quality of the parts and ease of assembly. However, there where a few things I did not like and knew those things is where I would start my modifications. First item was ride height, it sits a little too high for my liking so first off was to move the shocks down to the link location. That works fine accept for the front and the BTA tie rod now hitting the shock, so that won't work unless you move the tie rod to the front and at that point I didn't want to do that, so scrap that idea for now. Next is the horrible front drive line angle which you can clock the axle up with upper link and chub adjustment, however when you do that the tie rod then hits the upper link mount, no beno. Starting not to like the BTA right now. And last is innovative but chunky trans, doesn't leave much room for an interior if that's what you like, and that's what I like.

Overall I really like this platform and applaud Element for a job well done!

Now on to my version.....which seemed to address the challenges I mentioned before by basically doing away with or affording a different approach. The GC4.2 stage 2 kit comes with a forward mount low COG trans and t-case set up they call Double-T that takes care of that space killer stock trans. As for ride height, I was able to bring it down to a level I like, but it still cost me the BTA due to having to move the shocks to the link mount location. So with that, I clocked the axle up to fix the drive line angle and adjust the chubs to rotate the tie rod up out of the way.

Parts break down:

- Kit Enduro

- The Crawl Space GC4.2 stage 2 kit

- The Crawl Space GC4.2 Mojave mounts

- SSD aluminum C-Hubs

- SSD brass knuckles

- SSD D-hole bead locks

- Pit Bull Rock Beasts

- Pit Bull Dirty Richard foam med/med

- Castle Mamba X

- Holmes 3300kv Trail Master

- Savox 1230 servo

- Powershift 200 low profile winch

- R2j Kustoms links

- RC4WD Mojave cab

- RC4WD detailed interior

- Locked Up RC hubs front & rear

- Locked Up RC scale hardware

Stay tuned!

I have to finish the electronics yet, but once that's done and running I'll report will a video. I do know the chassis is a performer, it has a lot of wins under it's belt at the local level and nationally.

Nice build. I'm about to finish up my Machete chassis swap. I agree with you, great truck, it was just missing something.

Thank you!

Yes, great truck just needed a little tweaking. I really think the manufactures need, other than the ones already building forward trans and t-case set ups, take note and see what the general population and after market are doing. Don't get me wrong I love how the crawler market has grown, specially for me being around this hobby long enough to know how we use to have to build it not buy it, but there is still more room to grow.

Had a bit of time last night to get the SSD brass knuckles and aluminum chubs installed. There must be something wrong with the factory plastic set because it did have some very noticeable negative chamber before, and now with the SSD parts it is right on neutral. I have seen a few posts about it, but didn't think much of it, plus I also am running positive caster for steering and to get the tie rod up higher.

Little Help

Few cab off shots thrown in too.

Nice build!
I installed some weight on the Enduro kit last night too. Beef Tubes in Element hard axles front and rear, and SSD knuckles in front with a set of the SSD aluminum C-hubs.
BIG improvement! Point and shoot!! It goes even better than before.
I still want to add a brass diff cover in rear, and I just ordered Samix front and rear shock hoops.
Both SSD and BeefTubes quality is outstanding.

I may pick up a BeefTube axle for the rear, but going to see how it does without first.

I too am a fan of SSD products, fit and quality are second to none.

Some more progress made over the Holiday weekend....

Finished up the RC4WD interior, awesome detail and fit! It comes with metal details that go around the radio and heater controls, air vents, door trim, that I didn't use, and around the gauge cluster that I also didn't use. Floor mats are some Velcro cut to fit.

Electronics placement. Mounted the receiver behind the steering servo with the plugs on the side. I always use the Holmes Hobbies "Y" to hook the servos to the BEC. BEC will be mounted between the steering and winch servos. Battery is on the skid and the Mamba MicroX on the slider.

Broke out the scale to see how it is shaking out so far. 60/40 and weighing in at 5.4lbs. so far, but thinking it will end up closer to 6 or a touch over.

Threw some paint on it and found a set of OG Crawler Graphics Yota stripes. Then found a home for the lights.

Thank you!

Should have spent yesterday working on it since I had a free birthday pass, instead sat on the couch and watched football all day.
