Stock tire bead issue?

Has anyone else had issues with the RTR tires not staying beaded? I have them mounted to some SSD wheels and 2 of the 4 keep debeading.

I had no issues mounting them on 2.2 chinaquishs with 1.9 CI dual stage foams.

Maybe the stock foams are too wide?

Didn’t think about the foams possibly cause the issue. I have some proline memory foams laying around, I’ll try swapping them out to see if that helps. Thanks.

I've noticed they are a bit hard to mount - My plan is to do what Grimm did, stretch them over 2.2" wheels and use them on my TRX-4 at some point down the road...

The TRX-4 bodies are large enough to where 2.2" wheels still appear pretty scale.

I had a similar problem with some cheap Austar beadlocks. I was being lead a merry dance trying to get the bead to lock evenly (or at all) with the rims. So I did a bit of measuring of the original plastic Method rims and realised that the Austar inner rim as a bit small to get the bead in place and pinch it. So I designed a mod......

Basically, I 3d printed a PETG ring with an inner diameter of 54mm and an outer diameter of 57mm - the ring is 24mm in height. This can be fitted over the inner ring of the Austar rim. This gives the bead a proper ledge to press up against and that fixed my issue.
