Hobbywing 1080 ESC
 
So looking to get the hobbywing 1080 esc so the thing I would like to ask is do I need to get a BEC to run lights on the element enduro crawler..I think it will be ok but just wanted to see what you'll think...Thnaks

Should be okay. The stock receiver puts out 6v as does the hw1080. Not 100% sure if the LEDs can take 7.4v though, which is an option on the hw1080. If they can’t and you want to have it putting out 7.4v you’d probably be better off replacing the bulbs with ones that can than going down the bec route just for lights. Lighthouse LED sells loose bulbs of various spec.

I just set mine to 6V BEC to match what the factory ESC provides, mostly because I wasn't sure what the factory servo is rated for. And it still seems to put out enough torque (for me anyway).
Plugged a servo extension lead into an extra channel on the receiver to run the lights off of that way I don't need to open the receiver box to disconnect the lights.
