Default What bodies fit the Element RC Enduro kit?

Looking at buying a Enduro builders kit as I sold my last one but regret selling it!

I previously *poorly* fitted the ProLine Hilux SR5 by cutting the bed to fit around the rear shocks and rested the bed on the frame and secured with Velcro.

This time, I want to buy any compatible wheelbase body that will fit the Enduro stock body mounts or without butchering a new body shell!

So what have you fitted to your Enduro?

Worst case is I get the stock RTR body but just wondering if anyone can add what fits easily!

I just ordered a RTR trailwalker kit and plan on swapping to a Proline body at some point, from what Ive read the body post from the scx10 should work as a option for mounts.

I think the issue with Proline Hilux SR5 is that the rear bed is quite deep and I couldn't get it to sit low enough with the rear body posts as low as I could get them. A friend with a SCX10 has the same body and apparently removed stock shock hoop and had body mounts on the cross support.

A lot of the bodies are with a bed so I guess the only fool proof option is a SUV style body.

I mount all lexan bodies with ring magnets.

Ah right. That's not something I'm familiar with.

What type of magnets? Could you link me to some?

I fit the Proline Wrangler Unlimited body to mine, including a magnetic mount system. I utilized the stock body posts to do it. The only real modifications that I had to make to the vehicle for this body was to modify the rock sliders and pull in the bumpers.

Great video and good explanation. I've subscribed. Will look into those magnets 👍

Great video! Thanks for doing it. It made me look for rare earth magnets to do this myself.

I found prices all over the place, many places want $2+ apiece.

The best price by far I found was CMS Magnetics. 1/2" x 1/4" x 1/8" rare earth magnets are on sale for 56 cents each. I ordered 16 to do two trucks. With shipping cost was less than $12! Thought I'd share the deal.

What is the easiest way to line up the body with the chassis and mount the magnets on the body with shoo goo?

The way I do it is to mount the lower magnets to the body posts, then stick the upper set of magnets to the lower set. At this point I set my body post height & confirm that the body fits well, and that the magnets are sitting on the body in a good spot. Then I remove the upper magnets and reinstall them with a layer of plastic wrap between the upper and lower magnets. Apply a liberal amount of shoe goo to the top of the upper magnets (You want enough for it to squish out a little bit once the body is on), and sit the body in place. I then either invert the body to use the truck weight to push on the glue, or if the body shape prevents that, I'll stack weight on top of the body. After a couple hours you can remove the weight, but let the body set up overnight before you touch anything. Once the glue is good and dry, I separate the body from the chassis, making sure that all 4 magnets are stuck well to the body. For extra insurance, I run a little more shoe goo around the perimeter of the magnets on the body.

Yup, what he said. Clear tape is critical, and let them cure for 24 hours.

Weird, I had no issues mounting the Proline Hilux sr5 on mine. Posts lined up perfectly with the small "flat" raised area in the bed. Not sure why you had to do any of that stuff you mentioned?

I also used ring magnets for the front, but only to fix the crooked ass job I did of cutting the post holes in the front, otherwise that fit fine as well. Mind you the ring magnets sit right on the existing posts regardless.

Well that's on you not the body, and you're gonna have the same issue with any body you get pretty much if you want it that low, not to mention the wheel rub.

You can always get a cage back I suppose. Proline sells that as well and the Hilux cab separate.
