I gave in to the peer pressure and ordered a set of the Pro-Line BFG KO2's. I have 2 sets of Chinese wheels on the way so we will see which happens first, I get the wheels or I get the body back from paint. haha.

So the tires got here today. Mocked one up with one of my SSD wheels.

Also pulled the trigger on a set of these that should be here next week.

Well, quick update. Got some bad news. Those SSD Challenger wheels aren't going to work with the IFS without at least an 8mm wide hex. I got some on order but I'm afraid it is going to push the tire to far out of the wheel well. We will see. Pretty bummed about it as my SSD steel D holes fit just fine and don't stick out. I have another couple sets of Chinese wheels on the way but they are a ways out still. One set is a 2.2x1" so I will see what these KO2's look like stretched.

Pics of SSD wheels. I'm in contact with Chris to see if there is a problem with the wheels so we will see.

The Chinese 2.2's came in today so I mounted one up. Much better clearance.

I love the BFG tires and SSD black steelies combo. Do those not clear the IFS?

Yeah, they clear but I want a dark gray wheel to go with the paint job the body is getting. Plus my Red Toyota SCX10.2 would have no wheels to drive with if I take the steelies from it.

So while I wait for yet another set of tires to get here and the slow boat from China to get me the last set of wheels, I did some mounting. I really hate Proline's bead contour on their tires. It makes them look like crap mounted on the SSD wheels. They actually mounted better on the 2.2 Chinese wheels.

Not bad looking on the Chinese 2.2s.

Wheels and tires have been finalized! Injora Ebay specials with Pitt Bull Braven Berserkers.

Also trying to get the suspension to work like I want it to. The front is close but the rear is not even budging on this drop test.

Haha, I could but I don't think you want me to. I always get somebody else to paint my bodies. I don't know what I'm going to do when my guy stops painting bodies.

It’s actually automotive paint. The first on he has done with that paint. It’s a stock JL Wrangler color, Bikini Pearl.

Ooh, I love that colour. It looks more blue on my computer than I know it does in real life.

Here’s another outside pic, looks a little more teal in this one.
