Default Round two of my Element journey.

Bought a Sendero months ago and drove it a few times before selling it. I was super impressed with the truck and decided to build another. I picked up a builders kit and some hardbody mounts and got to work. Electronics are next on my list and then it’s time to hit the rocks!

Does the builders kit come with the better hard gray plastic’s. Does the builders kit come with metal shock caps. The rtr have plastic caps and the ball ends are very loose.

It does come with the metal shock caps but does not come with the harder plastics. At least I don’t think it does, no mention of it on the box and the plastics are all black so I don’t think they are any different than the rtr.

Great looking paint job!

Good to see you picked up another Enduro! I've been very happy with how mine performs.

Do you have a pic or info on the body mounts you used to mount the Yota body??

Thanks! This is my first time painting a hard body so I was a little nervous with how it would come out.

I got the body mounts from ShrinkRC on eBay. I don’t see any available at the moment but they do make options for both 2 door and 4 door bodies on the Enduro chassis.

To make pulling the body on/off easier I threaded a longer screw through the back of the mount points.

Which rear links did you end up using. I did the same with mine. The shrink mounts are pretty good

I used the shortest links in the rear. The builders kit came with enough links to build various wheelbases, the shortest ones measure in at about 11.6ish. I trimmed the bed wheel wheels just a bit so it didn’t look super stretched.

Before the trim....

After....

Still looks stretched in the rear but not as bad as it did.

Nice! Thanks for the info!

I use the same type of screw stud on my Marlin so that the body is easy on and off!

I would have never guessed it was your first time painting a hard body! It looks great!

Went on a short little test run while checking the mail this evening. Man it feels good to drive this platform! The truck is super dialed in. I went with a pretty basic set up for now. HW1080 with Castle BEC, HH 550 Trail sport motor, and a Reefs 444 servo.

Took this tiny truck out for a real run today. It handled everything I could throw at it. So glad I decided to get another Enduro. This is quickly becoming the favorite in my fleet.

Looks badass! Looks like SSD wheels? They are a very good representation of the optional TRD wheels sometimes found on 2nd gen Tacoma’s.

Yep, SSD Contenders I think they look great on any Toyota body.
