Default Cage for Sendero - Trailwalker?

So I reckon the sendero really needs some sort of cage/roll bar/light bar. There's some great stuff been done with the proline cage but I was wondering if anyone had tried fitting the trailwalker cage (see below) to the Sendero?

If this could be made to fit it looks like a cheap and easy mod just to change the look of the stock body a little.

Ta.

Your link is to the Trailwalker bumper. Are you referring to the Trailwalker ‘roll bar’ that mounts to the bed? To my knowledge there is no cage for the Trailwalker.

If you are talking about the Trailwalker roll bar that you linked, then yes it does fit. I had to add spacers to lift it up to be even with the top of the cab.

Yes, for some reason the front bumper and roll bar come together (same part number) so they get listed as a bumper.

That looks really good on your truck. Exactly what I was hoping for. Just have to figure out some spacers. Whatever you've used looks perfect was it just some plastic tube you had to hand?

Thanks.

Your welcome! I used 5mm or 8mm spacers to each leg. Can't remember which size I used. (Old pic of when I installed it)

Also, the Trailwalker front bumper that is in the same kit as the rollbar fits the Sendero body well. Much better approach angle!

That's a great looking build.

I started out on this convinced I'd never care about the appearance of the truck provided it ran well. It sort of creeps up on you though (no pun intended). Suddenly your RTR Sendero just doesn't look scale enough and you're hunting round for mods.

Gotta worry I'm turning into my uncle with his love of model railways....

Cheers.
