Default Robotboy's Trailrunner

I wanted to put together something to be like a daily driver, a go to rig, to
just grab and go have fun. Gonna try to keep it simple and light as possible.
The Element IFS caught my eye and a new slider popped up on fleabay so I
snatched it up.

I still haven't decided on a body. I may just pick up a used beater
body and roll with it. I was also thinking about something out of the
norm like the JConcepts Illuzion BAJR. Cool body. Opinions...

I'll take some pics as progress is made. Any suggestions or helpful mods
are appreciated since this will be my first element.

Looking good so far!

I think you’re gonna like it when it’s done! The Enduro’s with the IFS are fun to drive. I’ve had a blast with mine so far!

Looking forward to seeing the rest of the build!

What front shock towers are those? Are they lift or lowering? Thanks!

Got them from rcworld on fleabay. They're for scx10 rear and they're a bit
taller than the trailrunners. So you can go up or down, lots of shock
mounting options.

I wanted to try something different, body-wise, so I picked up the JConcepts Bajr.
Well after the initial trim I'm thinking it's a little big and obnoxious. Probably look better
with bigger tires but I'm not. I'm set on these new Landmines.
Also replaced the Hexfly servo with an Annimos 25kg I had here and added a
Castle BEC to up the voltage to it. Back to the think tank on the whole body thing.
Cab & cage...Mog...ugh

A few additions to the trailrunner. Put a set of alum shock mounts on the rear.
A slightly softer spring in the front. It was a little too bouncy for me. Don't
know what the spring rate is, found them in a bag of springs I have collected.
Also added the Club5 hi clearance rear links with some Boom Racing bent ends.
I'm liking the stance.

My SSD goodies showed up and they are sweet. Picked up the brass Enduro
knuckles and also the rear axle weights. I replaced the stock pivot screws with
reg ball ends w/screws and used the provided brass bushings. The rear weights
are nice as well and also act as your bearing retainer. Gonna be nice having all
that down low weight. Finally found a body that I like...more on that later.

After hours going through countless online body catalogs, checking dimensions,
etc. I came across a body that I liked. Perfect wheel base and width. The fit
turned out to be right on. I think
