Cool, any chance I could sweet talk you into designing one for the Enduro chassis?.

It’s just that latex paints are of a lower quality, I believe because they have less pigment particles, but you can actually mix the two paints if need be.

Using craft store acrylics also opens up huge possibilities for mixing custom colors that you can’t get from rattle cans.
Maybe I can add to the discovery.

If anyone would rather spray the paint, this little Prevale sprayer would work wonders.

Just have to thin the acrylic a bit.👍🏼

Sure, here's it is after many hours on our local crawler course, where it's taken many a tumble The fender arches were of course painted on the outside. Oh, and to sort of hy-jack my own thread, the public crawler course in Markham Park (Sunrise, FL) is def worth the trip if anyone is visiting the area. https://markhampark.com/rc-truck-and-crawler-course/ There's a great group of guys that maintain and constantly upgrade the course.

Default In Action!

Life got in the way for a couple of months, but I finally got some video of the rig in action with some upgrades. Swapped in a Trailwalker bumper for the one I originally had and got better protection w/ less weight.

Also added heavier Injora wheels and Club 5 Racing stainless steal axle guards "Rhinoshield" Stainless Steel Axle Guard For Element Enduro Gatekeeper - Club 5 Racing

The silver slot wheels on the BOM are from SSD, made from steel.

Default Let's spice it up

Been running this rig all year and pretty happy with the way the body turned out, well.... except that it just looked a little too pretty IMO. Power Wagons are supposed to look a little more rugged, right? So off came the the rear bed replaced with the VERY nice unit made by IE RC https://iercscaler.com/shop/ols/products/drop-in-bed-v1

It's made of metal and powder coated with a wriggled finish - high quality stuff!

It's mounted to a 3-D printed cross member that also stiffens the rear up considerably: https://iercscaler.com/shop/ols/prod...-chassis-brace

Oh, I I also trimmed the fenders for sprayed on some flat clear an edgier look

Running an SSD alu front bumper, but will probably replace with something narrower. What do u guys think of the remake??

I like it, the bed and the trimmed and matte fenders did a lot for the look - I also prefer these wheels.

You're right, though - the bumper has GOT to go!

(I have that same bumper tucked up close across the front of my TRX-4 Defender, which is about the only decent application for such a wide and plain thang...)

Thanks for the encouragement and the candid opinion - I agree, sir! Changed the SSD bumper for one stolen from my Ecto build, suits the PW much better I think

Looking good Jim. I really like the flat bed modification you have on there. It certainly does give it more of the gritty look you were after. Paint appears to be holding up really well. Happy with the trucks performance?

Thanks Smog, yeah my craft store paint jobs is holding up fine, tho truth be told, shooting the clear on the outside hides a bunch of the scratches the Lexan got on the rocks. This is an old trick I picked up renovating RC plane canopies. The clear fills in the scratches leveling the surface which renders it almost like new.

I like the Element Enduro platform quite a bit. I think it's among the better non-portal chassis out there. I really like how smooth the transmission is and the included options for overdrive available in the kit.
