Dual steering. Anybody had any succes making a dual steering rig? Im looking into it, but cant decide if its totally useless. I got a roller chassis standing by to do some major changes on. |
Re: Dual steering. Dual steering as in two servos on the front axle or dual steering as in four wheel steering? I don't feel the Enduro needs two up front but a four wheel steer rig is a different experience. |
Re: Dual steering. 4 wheel steering :) Two servoes in front would be massive overkill haha :D As i see it, it should be as simple as removing the rear end and add another front end. Job done? |
Re: Dual steering. Yes, an extra front axle should be all you need. I think it should also work with the 4 link already out back for the standard axle. |

Easy conversion then :) Only downside is, that its gonna get double as expensive :lmao: |
Re: Dual steering. I would think that this conversion is more than just the mechanical parts. To take best advantage of 4w steering, I think you need a radio that supports multiple steering modes. Front only, rear only, quad and crab. |

I Hope my futaba 4PM can do it  |

looks like it does, Pg 100 https://futabausa.com/wp-content/upl...9/02/4pm-e.pdf |
Re: Dual steering. John Schultz from Element RC/Associated is running dual steering on one of his Enduros I believe. |
Re: Dual steering. Not trying to threadjack, but I'm looking into doing this myself. I put the ifs kit in my trailwalker build, then figured "well I have a spare front axle why not 4ws?" My only question or questions are the following. Are you doing servo on axle for the rear? If so what servo mount are you using? (All I can find are for the SCX10 II) If chassis mounting again what mount bracket are you using? I have a 3d printer so I can print a mount if I can find a design, or I could design my own but prefer not to reinvent the wheel if it has already been done. |
