Could one of the happy Gatekeeper owners measure width of the cage at the doors and overall length for me? I can't seem to find anything on it... Thanks! |

Having a blast with this thing! Holmes Hobbies CrawlMaster Pro 550 10t + BR-XL ESC running on 4s lipo with 14t pinion. Plenty fast to rip around, but still crawls great. Paid a visit to the Badlands, not much traction these days. Need some rain! |

I’m going with the Gatekeeper over the Capra! Always a Associated fan since the TC3. Any recommendation for a pinion? Will be using a Crawlmaster 16t and HW 1080 esc. Any other recommendations for parts ie machined transmission gear? |

Nice pics Slow Roll. Just getting started on my build. Some parts just arrived in the mail today so time to get at it. Winter temps and snow has hit here sadly, so I won’t really get a chance to run it as I would like until spring. Guess I will have to waterproof it and rip it through the fluff

| Re: Gatekeeper The stock transmission gears are steel no? Shouldn’t need upgrading. Personally I like to upgrade my steering knuckles and c-hubs. As far as pinion, I might drop a couple teeth from stock given that I am planning to put a decent amount of power into this thing.

They have the plastic outdrive gears on this kit and RTR. The idlers are metal though. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

The plastic transmission gears will hold up. My Sendero ones have plenty of miles on it. The only kit that comes with the metal ones is the Enduro Builder's Kit.

On my way to my LHS to pick up my Gatekeeper Kit now. Any recommendations from those that have built this kit for optional parts to buy besides a 18T pinion?i I’ll skip the machined gears. Kind of surprise they didn’t include them since the original builders kit had them. Probably not necessary. This will be my second Element kit and third crawler, even though I only actually completed one. |

Only thing I added was a servo arm! It even comes with a metal one, but not the type that pinches. If you plan on wheels larger than 5", you will need longer hubs to get full steering. I had to turn EPA down 10% to keep the tires out of the cage. This is with PB Braven Berserkers that measure just over 5" and wheels with 2.5mm of negative offset.

For those that own a Gatekeeper and another Enduro, do you think the shock towers would fit the regular Enduro? Not just the front towers, but the rears as well. Might want to do these towers for a more swept forward shock position if possible. (Inboard Shocks run into some clearance issues, and I don’t really like the look of cantilever shocks) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

The chassis is exactly the same, depending on what body you run they could work. I was going to order another set for my element hard body jeep until I saw the price!

I was looking at this for my Colorado build. Hoping the towers would be near the back of the cab. Was going to hide them with a spare tire mount. Ya, the price is okay for the plastic parts, the inserts is what gets close to breaking the bank. You basically need two of those packs, ugh. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
