Truck is looking dialed! I see some sweet jumps in this rigs future with that motor.

^Thanks twade appreciate your saying so^

Was a beautiful weekend for this time of year. Didn't really get any bench time in, but did get out crawling and mountain biking.

Took some pics and shot some Video. We have just enough snow to make the rocks just that much more challenging. Here is my Kit Built Enduro with the JP-1 body out at play. Why do I love this rig so much?!

...and some edited video

Thanks for popping in!

Got Lights? Threw some buckets on the ass of the Gatekeeper. Need to solder up some led strings.

Great place for the light buckets! Fills the slots nicely and looks like it was a factory install!

I am quite pleased with the fit on those buckets. They are tucked in there so should survive some hits

Been wanting to braze a truggy-style cage for my JP-1 for some time. Finally got started.

First I cut out the bed

Then I cut and bent some steel to use as mounting tabs to attach the cage to the bed. Bent and Brazed some rod to serve as the base for the cage

Then bent some tube for the roll bar

...and some tube for support pillars

More To Come...

Great start to the cage! Looks great so far!

It is exactly what this body needs!

Thanks B! to keep it light weight I am not going to add a lot more to it, but do want to strategically add a bit more tube to help brace it for impact and close off the cab back a bit.

Love the roll bar. Looks really good following the back glass like that.

After seeing this thread, I picked one these bodies up. Love how tight this body is on most chassis.

Thanks Phyro, props much appreciated. The jp1 is an excellent crawler body, you’ll love it!

I really like the design of that cage, nice shape and lines for the JP1. Well done smog!

Added in some more tube

Not sure how much more I will add. Goal is to keep it simple but solid.

Need to clean up the joints a bit now

I think I am finally finished with the JP-1 cage build. I added a couple of more mounting points. Not sure it was required but I think it makes the thing look more balanced and it is solid. I am pleased with how light it is.

I cleaned up the joints to prep it for paint.

Thanks Durok, much appreciated!

Was thinking of painting it black, but the more I see it in silver the more I want to keep it that way. Will match my Silver wheels that way as well.

Great job on the cage. It's just enough without going to far with the amount of tubes. Love it!

Beauty of a cage. How do you fix the rear of the body down now that you are not using the body posts?
