I'm not enamoured with how the hood latches came out, I may try the stickers from the body set...I just know putting a sticker over an irregular shaped object will look janky. So I took the less janky route of painting them, but taping them off was real fiddly and I half assed it. Will revisit later, gives me something to do lol.

There are also stickers to make the rear body post box thingy a tool box but I didn't want to draw attention to it, and I am horrible at putting large stickers on. I imagine it ending up with a crumbled up sticker and me learning new cuss words. I thought about painting it to look like a fuel cell but it's really too big for that.

I have an old light bar from a pickup body I may add to the "bed" if I can modify it and make it look halfway decent, that will hide it a little bit anyways.

Fancied up the bed. This is a narrowed Trailwalker light bar, Deadbolt light bar, home brewed sort of scale Hi Lift because I’m too cheap to buy one...painted the bed flat black, added my tag. The lights won’t be functional, I don’t want all the wires.

Charging batteries...done tinkering for a bit. I think I’m going to add a faux winch on the front, don’t need one but it’s missing something so I’ll find something that fits and detail it/add some winch cable and what not.

Other parts involved in the bed are a marker cap (spacers in the rear), axle bearings (spacers in the front), the ramps from an AMT 1:25 scale race hauler static model (cut down, they are diamond plate and the scale looked right on the pattern), miscellaneous screws, and Home Depot .99 flat black paint. I'm starting to run low on scrounging parts pile so may take a break on hackering for a bit. Although I haven't worked on scale garage in a bit, so may add something to that this weekend. I ran out of hot glue which has been a huge sponsor of scale garage lol.

Last minute tweaks before shakedown run tomorrow. Had to move the body up, a little more rubbing than I wanted...

Glam shots. Rig did really well. We found a cool spot, tractor tire canyons. Hard as a rock and really worked the suspension. It is bouncier with the factory team shocks. Almost like a “real” suspension, very active. May need to fiddle with different weights.

1 rollover and my kid did it.

One of the tractor tire ‘chutes’. This things were a riot, fun going up and down. I ran them slow/technical and kiddo hit them like a bouncer. We were on these when her steering servo died, but by then we were both hot and tired. I’ll be bummed when this site closes, they are on the last phase of a condo build out.

Dusty and dirty but nothing broke. No rubbing, cg is great...didn’t really get to test the links or skid clearance a whole lot because we played on the dirt hills more than the rocks.
