Oh yeah u probably figured it out but I did hit it with some flat transparent tan with the airbrush. I use an Iwata Eclipse from back in my scale modeling days. Used to paint bodies with it, awesome setup. But I think fogging the window glass will hold me over until I figure out an interior setup, still leaning towards bomber and cutting the windows out and adding nets or just leaving them open. Rarely see people on the rocks with the windows up.

Nice outdoor pics! Looks great out in the wild!

Bomber interior would look good in their with the windows cut out. I've used the Bomber interior in a couple of my rigs so far. If you want some scale looking window netting, eBay has LEGO netting. I put it in my Capra and it looks really scale!

I'll look you up on IG. I try to post pics of my rigs when I get a chance.

Whacked the front bumper after some extended beta testing, got tired of the rubbing and this enabled me to tuck it all the way back. I drove this rig more this weekend than my SCX10 since August. It is a tough little truck. The side mirrors are toast, they won’t be going back on. These foams are starting to soften up and the tires work surprisingly well for cheap rubber.

I think my first ‘mod’ will be a little weight on the front. It will pull itself up and over almost anything when the front end stays planted. Will add the hubs/knuckles from SSD and not do the rear yet since the goal is to move the center of balance. Side shot of bumper hackery. Dremel is lyfe mang

The more I cut up the body on this truck the more I like it. I'll probably end up with a cab by the time I'm done haha. Was contemplating a JP1 body but this thing is just growing on me. But not sure how I missed the JP1 body in all of my digging, I really like it and I'm not a big Jeep fan lol. just something about the simplicity of it speaks to me.

Nice to see such good pics of the TW out on the rocks and taking few hits. Weighted down low, up front will help, it’s a good plan.

We had a nice weekend up here, considering the time of year. Sunny and above freezing, made for a fun weekend to do some crawling

Just noticed you are running a JP1 body on your Enduro - do you like it/would you do it again if you had to start over with the build? Do you have a build thread on it? Looks really good.

Narrowed c10 grill. Looks like some weird Mexican version lol. Like somethings off but you can’t quite figure out what. Not perfect but better than anything I could have made with styrene.

Sorry, just noticed this question.

Yeah, just lovin the JP-1 body. I imagine I will use it again for future builds. I have all of my Enduros in one thread

smogs Elements

Didn’t go into detail on body in my thread. It does come with all of the scale details. Light buckets front and rear, wipers, door handles, mirrors etc. There is no interior for it however

That grille looks like it was made for it. I really like that.

Also, not sure if you're still debating on tires, but I bought the pit bull rock beast in 1.9 for my enduro. I like the size at 4.45" OD. And they grip like crazy too

So not sure if I mentioned this but the only reason I bought this rig was (A) it was cheap and (B) i was tired of messing with the hand-me-down SCX10 and wanted something 'reliable'. I'm really enjoying it.

Having said that - I did not give up on my 'crawler' search - but the TW has kind of sealed the deal on my plans. I am thinking I will do this:

*keep this TW as a trail/somewhat scale/mild crawler and not dump a ton of money into it. I have a backup Holmes motor and a servo. I will replace these plastic bead locks and tires though
*grab one of the Gatekeeper kits. I'd like to build something from the ground up. I am aware it is not a pure crawler but it is close enough for my skill level. It will be my 'fancier' rig, since it is a kit I will be able to go nuts with motor,ESC,servo and what not. I will use the Tactic TX/RX from the SCX10 to save a little coin though.

I think the GK will satisfy my 'big tire' needs and the TW will be a nice break from the tube chassis when I want to wheel a pickup. The benefit I see to this is there is some (limited) parts compatibility, and if I buy things for one and then upgrade them I can bump them to the other rig. Keeping it 'in the family' if you will.

Anyways, rant over LOL. I'll probably just add the GK to this thread if I do go that route instead of starting another one.

Sounds like a really good plan to me. I keep eyeing the gatekeeper myself, but I’m on a mission to own all of the top platforms, and I have the enduro well covered.

I’ll be looking forward to your gk build!

Nice TW Phil, big like on the Chevy grill. That’s a nice improvement.

If you are offended by: truggy, rock buggy, rock racer, hacked body, massive tires, boggers, very large tires, sawzall, purpose built with no care for aesthetics, then look away!

I love it. Like really like it. Gotta figure out how to move the rear bumper in a little more. My logic was it’s already not scale, might as well throw gas on that fire. Plus there is mud here. And rocks. Muddy rocks.
