Looks sick Phildirt!

Out of curiosity, how come you run your boggers backwards?

The 2 front ones are just swapped side to side from last time I took them off, not intentional.

Ah ok, now that I look at the rear tires I see they’re on right.

Spare tire that is much smaller than the rest. It hinges up to access body posts. Made a real simple bumper with just a d ring for extrication. Will do something more elaborate once I graduate from brazing school.

Still really digging the overall look of this rig. That’s different for me I usually get bored with things after about 2 days.

I have no idea what the holes in the fender are for other than just a detail but I like them. I suppose on the real thing they would accomplish some weight reduction.

So I need to stop watching YouTube. Current state of mind: make this my only go slow rig and overbuild it. But since I want a new toy that doesn’t do what this one does, and I don’t like any of the faster ones (Bomber etc) I am now thinking I will go with the Losi MT. There’s just nothing like it as far as grin factor that has caught my eye. I watched Hemi Storm talk about it vs the SMT10...I did not realize how much of an afterthought and poor planning went into the Axial rig versus the Losi take on the genre. Anyways, I’ll change my mind by sunset lol.

I knew you’d start to like the LMT! I’m the same way, I start something, go to bed, and change my mind the next morning lmao.

By the way, the truck looks 10x better with that spare. It looks like it belongs there. Keep it up!

Sucks when you think of great comebacks after an argument...

I wish I had named this thread "The Element of Surprise"

I have named the truck Luke Trailwalker. Although he's an annoying whiny sissy he is still strong with the Force.

Those are some great outdoor pics! Glad to hear it did well!

Truck is looking great! The "bullet" holes in the fenders adds a different but cool look to it! I like it!

The spare tire looks great and takes up that dead space in the bed! It's always a good idea to have a spare!

Thank you gents. The spare tire holder is from an Axial Jeep.

Went trailing with my 12 year old this morning, 2 miles through muddy swamp/downed trees. We had a blast, she’s hooked. Truck did really well considering how slick everything was (light misting rain). Found some challenging obstacles. She’s a more patient driver than me and I have some good video of her handling some tough spots. Took a few photos.

Wet logs take decent wheel speed and we had just enough to power over most of them, the ginormous tires helped.

Carnage shot. My kid hit every mud puddle she saw...got it all rinsed/fired up the compressor and blew out the motor and battery plugs etc when we got home so no harm done. I told her she’s more redneck than me haha. This trip has me thinking of buying her a Traxxas Sport instead of me getting another toy...I had trouble getting behind the wheel because she was having too much fun. Was good to get her away from the Xbox too.

Gave the kid a lineup to pick from and she went Element Sendero with no influence...might grab one.

That’s awesome! Make sure to post up when the family gets the second rig.

How tall are those tires anyway?

Pretty sure around 5.4" without looking them up on ProLine's site. I am switching them to 2.2 TSLs because they are the same height just a little wider. Doing c-hubs, beef tubes, and SLW hubs at the same time.

Also debating switching to 3s. Plans are to build a kit for the kid, I'll use the 2 2s packs I have for hers. I have an ESC, motor, reciever, and transmitter from my SCX10 that are all relatively new (HH, Tactic) for her kit so it should be a relatively low cost affair. She wants a purple Jeep so I am thinking a TRX4 or Enduro kit with a JP1 body.
