Summersville lake looks like a great place to do some tiny truckin' when the water is down. Nice pics!

You sure do have some great locations down there in WV! Once a year I head down to Hinton, WV for my wife's family reunion. Beautiful area and endless terrain to run the little trucks on. Unfortunately I've never had the opportunity to take my rigs with me. Our car is always packed to tight with luggage!

We do have some great locations, I live right in the center of the state so they are all fairly accessible.

Gotta find room for a crawler on vacation! j/k But seriously I do try to take one on trips when I can.

Not really a performance update but is an appearance update. Added new metal D rings to the bumper in red.

First real upgrade to the Trailrunner!
Since day one the right rear shock has leaked around the cap so I have ran it without any oil in the rear. Not real good for performance but made life a lot cleaner.
So to fix the problem I bought a set of STRC aluminum shock caps in gun metal gray. They went on without a hitch and my leak is no more. I refilled the shocks with Associated Pure Silicone oil, 40 in the rear / 35 in the front.
I put a video up on my channel about them if anyone wants to check it out.
Now on to the important part, pictures!

Working tonight shooting another video. Upgrading the receiver box. Will post pics in the morning.

Waterproof receiver box installed in the Trailrunner. I just did not trust the stick one, didn't like how the seal for the wires sat or the way the lid bulged. I use Traxxas boxes in all my builds so I am confident that it will not fail me. Just had to make a small riser and a antenna mount. Next up... maybe time to add that winch.

Getting ready to add a winch to the Trailrunner. I figure since it has the mount I might as well use it.

Winch mounted up and working like a champ! Plenty strong enough for this little truck. I switched out the winch line for my own special line. Will have a video of the winch install up in the next few days. Also swapped the stock steering servo for a new one and a metal servo horn. Next up... maybe some brass for the wheels.

Looks good! Element did a great job on designing a perfect spot for a servo winch!

They really did! Easiest winch install I have ever done.

Adding some weight down low to help offset the weight added up high with the winch and future front bumper.

Picked up this TRX4 bumper from RC World. It will take some work to make it work right but should look good once mounted. Going to ditch the stinger because it is beyond huge.

Bumper loosely mounted. Got the brackets sorted out and most everything finalized. Still need to paint the bumper before mounting it for the final time.

Got the bumper painted, used a hammered paint over a black primer, then a light coat of satain black so it matches the rear bumper and the sliders.
In the picture showing the back of it you can see how much I had to raise it to get it to fit the body. I used a set of Gen8 --> Gen7 axle adapters to mount the bumper to the brackets.

Pics of the bumper mounted up. I love the way it fits this body, I also like the way the drop down in the bumper lines up with the shape of the grill. It took a lot to get it to fit like this but the end result is definitely worth it.

The new bumper looks great! I just picked up a Sendero HD and can't wait for it to arrive.

Been awhile since I updated this, still enjoying the truck but have not made any mods recently. I did pick up a set of inner fenders for it. Will get them painted and added sometime this week.

Cool, I've been wondering how well the inner fenders fit/work. Look forward to seeing them installed.

I got the inner fenders painted and installed. Installation went very well. I did have to trim them a bit more than I would have on a stock TrailRunner but where I added bumpers I had to trim up to clear the bumpers. Also this is made for the square bodied elements I had to trim a little bit off the front edges so it wouldn't rub the TrailRunner body.

I painted the parts visible from outside the truck gunmetal. I painted the "tops" white in the front for in case I add a engine bay and a combination of copper and gunmetal in the rear because I believe these will stick up through the interior when I add it to this body.

I made a video during the installation of these parts and will have that up on my YouTube channel hopefully by beginning of next week.
