Well this weekend was a busy one. Really nice weather, so the paint booth was open. Runner went in for some paint. Getting ready for the main color here. Used about 3 coats of Bitty Designs liquid mask. First color added to the body. Some Tamiya metallic red for the first color. Ended up hacking with some bright silver and then Traxxas White for the roof. Then finally some Traxxas Black for the finishing touches. This stuff actually dries matte when painted on the outside. Decided to do some inner fenders as well. Add now for preview! More to come soon! P.S. The Powershift RC taillight buckets are a bit small… Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Looks great Phyro! Nice color choice! I noticed that on the rear light buckets. I test fitted my Powershift kit and thought the looked a little small. |

I got the inner fenders mounted. Then I added the decals, including the lights for now. I’ll do something with light buckets at a later time. (The body has Tamiya trans yellow and red for later.) Some notes on the masks. The rear windows are a bit small and hard to line up. I thought I sized it for the decal. Well on to the beauty shots: The GMade GS01 bumper fits really good up against the Knight Custom’s TRD skid. I had to modify the bumper a bit though. I decided I didn’t want a light bar or lights, so off came the light mounts. Next was shortening the bumper posts, they were hitting the steering rack on the IFS. Now for the rear: I think the custom rear bumper works well with this build. That curve is quite interesting and really limits rear bumper choices. Next up is magnet mounts and a working winch. Got a comp on Sunday! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Looks sweet. Those wheels go well with this build and yeah that rear bumper is really fitting.

Looking good! Nice job on tucking the front bumper in tight against the body! I agree on the rear bumper. It is a perfect match and fit the rear end perfectly! |

Hey guys, got the FJ Runner out on the trails for a bit. It is running really well, and is now my go to trail rig. Here some pics of the FJ in its natural environment: It was keeping up with the Jeep, even though it has 4.19s and IFS. Well on to the next project, thinking something small this time… Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Clean trail rig. Makes me wanna do 4.19s for the spare Venture body and keep the flares intact.
