Default Sneak Peek at the ATI Berg offset wheels

Picked me up the first prototypes of the new ATI performance Berg offset wheels last night. Needless to say the machining and workmanship is second to none and they mounted up quite easily and solidly considering how narrow their design. I was lazy and only put in 4 screws and they never lost a bead.

anyway here are a few poser shots , followed by the comparision photos.

And now the comparisions, these are side by sides with my Ax-10 comp rig. Notice how the ultra slim design increases the tire height and slim's down even the "Big Pig Panthers" I'm going with on this rig. Not to mention pulling down some of tread into the sidewall area right at the point of attack......Just like using a extra narrow wheel on a real 1:1 tire. Should work even better to narrow and heighten the tire's profile once I get some taller firmer foams installed.

A few closeups.

Those look really nice. The finish is really good. I hate to jump on the bandwagon, but it looks like I will need to order a set of Berg's soon.

How narrow are they?

An almost 100% negative offset and still +/- .25" at the knuckles means pretty damn narrow.

Yeah they are ultra narrow. My first thought when i saw them was "whoa , can you even get a tire on there?" all total with rings and everything its 1 inch.

Looks like they will work well. I also don't like the Mickey Mouse shaped cut outs.

THey are working real good.

I stuffed double foams in them and have run about 5 or so packs through them with no problems.

Wheels worked flawlessly....had some binds that nearly tore the tire off and the beads held like a vice grip.

unfortunatly with a new config and tires I just couldnt get the front end to hookup. :( so spent the entire time practicing roll over recovery...lol
