Default DT's 2013 UGC Stingray

We have a few different flavors of this proto floating around right now. I still need to draw and cut the cab for mine. I'm calling it the Trigger for now.

Inspired by Egressor's Tuber, UGC is exploring the single pivot point idea for 2013. Thank's for your blessing to proceed Christian!

I have a ton to do for a running rig, I'm behind the curve of the other guys at this point.

Nice work. Can't wait to see what this turns into. I've been running J-Fab's single pivot chassis and love it.

Houston, we have a problem...

I had a bout of insomnia so I started breaking the Viper Lite down, the tip to my 1/16 driver is broken off in the knukle weights grub screw...

Headed to work to drill it out. I don't trust my cheapy drill press and super cheap vice. I don't want to destroy the knuckle body, they will be sold.

Something along the lines of this in 3/16 Ti long term, I'll do some 1/4" alu to hold me over.

How long are your rear lowers? I know others who have done this style were forced into 1/4 TI.

I have not measured yet. I'll do that when I bend the 8/32 that will be the real template. If 1/4 alu rod holds up, 3/16 Ti should. It is your standard bend with extra straight after the bend stops, into the chassis.

I was not feeling the hexes being between the lower links, so I turned it down.

You might have to put some washers or something like that on the single pivot brace to protect the rod ends and the chassis from the rock. That area takes a lot of abuse. I have washers on mine but have always wanted to try some bearings to roll over the rock.

Wow think you got enough upper link mounting holes It's taking shape and looking good So I'm assuming that this will eventually be cut out of CF correct?

You gotta look at the holes more like they are there to drop weight, as well as provide better aerodynamics like a golf ball. Aerodynamics and rc crawlers are two words that need to always go together right?
