Default Ride height

I have been playing with ride height some lets hear what some of you guys are running?
Are you running in droop with your sprung rigs or adding pre-load to take all the droop out?

3" here, running pre-load to take about 90% of the droop out of it.

Spung with 2 7/8 ride height, and a little droop 3 1/4 I think.

What about you Champ.

I'm running Sprung at about 2 3/8". This is on a KK 4.0 chassis with my threaded shock collar threaded all the way up. The shocks don't really like to move from there and I can spin the collars about 1/2" down from there before the truck starts moving.

Around here, that's about right. Even a little on the high side for some guys, but personally, I can't seem to go any lower, by choice or otherwise.

I have been trying to run down around 2 5/8 and drooping out to about 2 7/8.
I really like how it feels untill it comes time to bounce a leadge

I raised it up this eve to 2 7/8 drooping out to 3 3/16 but was not sure if this would be to much I have never run over 3 inches.

Joe, glad you brought this up. After a dismal day at LRC yesterday I've been fooling w/shock set-ups since midnight(yesterday). Learned alot by studying(covertly) Rockcrawlers rig. How it rolls, transfers weight, and just overall balance.
His is a very smooth rig, almost slinky-ish. I've about gotten where I feel mine is close to that(just gotta learn to drive it).

As for as droop, I'm at 2 3/4" and will come to @3 1/16" on a super soft set-up. After using 4 wheel scales to move some weight around my little rig so much better. Almost a new rig.

Playing around this eve I have noticed with the way I have my links setup. That there is almost no wheelbase change between 2.5-3 inches but once you go higher than 3 inches the wheel base starts to shorten. From 3-3 1/4 i get 1/8 of wheel base change.
I am not sure if this will be enough to cause problems?I may just need to lower it back down to 2 3/4 and let it droop to 3 inches.
For some reason I just caint find where I want this thing to be.
I am half tempted to set it at 2.5 and have a belly dragerand let it drop out to 2.75. I would say it would be crazy stable but leadges would be a pain.

Maybe I am just thinking about it to much and need to just learn to drive.

Wow, you would almost think that the chassis was meant for a certain ride height and the suspension was setup to optimize that particular height.........like some one put some thought into it........learn to drive, quit screwing with your stuff.

Oh and stop beating me....your wife to.

Or someone got lucky .

No really Jeff's rig seemed to work really well with way more ride height that mine.

You should have seen the downhill/side hill Austin build yesterday.......I believe that I was the only one to make all 3 or 4 gates clean.

I am running at 2 1/4 and drooping out to just over 3"
all droop in front with internal springs, and 80% sprung and 20% droop in the rear.

so far, I can't complain about this setup, it gave me a 4th place finish last weekend and it was my first comp with a berg rig!
and it's still able to climb some insane ledges!

Baddass course. With the possibility of a 70ft fall. Dunn is brutal w/his course building(part goat I think).

Mines always been tall and I've always been razzed about the center clearance.

I run 3.25 to 3.375 on average.

It worked somewhat decent for me in Pennsylvania...just never tried verting! But mine still verts 63 without issue now that I've changed some weights and messed the the clod stall feature.
