I have talked with NazT about how we would want to do this setup, and I decided to go for it.
I ended up taking more material offthe axle tube than I thought I would have to, but I'm still happy with how it's progressing.
My goal was to not cut so much off that my inner axle shafts were showing, becAuse I don't want that much dirt having the ability to get into my gearcase.

I got everything done last night other than making the mounting plate and the steering link.

Here is how it looks as of last night.

I plan on gettIng the rest done tonight hopefully.
I would like to thank 86jeep for such an ingenuitive idea.
Obviously I have borrowed his idea, without him I probably never would have done anything like this!!!

I got the plate made up last night and started on the steering link.
I must say, I forgot how much fun it was to try to drill and tap stainless rod!!

Oh boy, I can't wait to try and tap this rod!

I may end up looking for some aluminum rod instead.
Here it is all mounted up!

I got my tie rod finished tonight.
It's 1/4" aluminum rod.
The stainless didn't work out like I wanted too.

As you can see I have more than enough steering now!

awesome!!! it looks super clean!! what is the material of the servo mount? Aluminum? To me, the servo mount is the hardest part to make. How could you do that so good?

Honestly building the
plate isn't really that hard for me.
But I have built alot of little pieces like this so it's nothing new to me.

The plate is 1/8" 6061 t6 aluminum.
By far the hardest part is bending it to fit the axle and have everything line up right!

Thanks for the compliments guys!
I love this new setup!

We went out and did some
testing and tuning last weekend.
I just snapped a quick pic with my iPhone.
I like the pic so I thought I would share it with you guys!

it's full droop in the front with internal springs, and the rear is more of a 50/50 half droop half sprung, but I limit my rear travel quite a bit so there isn't much movement back there!

I don't have any video of it in action yet. But hopefuly soon.
I loaned my video camera to my sister and haven't recieved it back yet!

I was just cleaning up and going through my rig tonight for our comp tomorrow and found something that will ruin anybodys day the night before the comp.

another super 300 bearing gone bad.
And nobody stocks this bearing locAlly!
I'm going to have to get creative tomorrow morning if I plan on having all this steering!
