Sorry for the continued hijack...
No problem on the highjacking. When you jump on it from a standing start it has about a half second of turbo lag, then lights up the tires really well. If i power brake it just a hair to bring up the rpms, its all over right from the start Plus the added gas mileage and less emissions the Ecoboost might be the ticket. Of course playing with it the way i have, the mpg is suffering

Thanks shelby. I knew before i posted anything about the truck,it would stir the pot. I guess thats why i posted it Im happy with it, thats all that counts. I guess i finally got back to my roots. My first car was a 56 ford f100 panel truck.

A cool thing I learned the other day about new F-150's, if you ever have a fire in the engine compartment the hood disentigrates. Pretty cool if your the guy trying to put out the fire.

Looks good Bill

Well.... I guess since it has 2 turbos it might be ok.....maybe. I like the boxy look.

I am a chevy guy and I don't like the colorados, I wish they would have done more w/ the V8's in them though, they were really cool. Part of my animosity towards the colorado is they replaced the S10's, I really like them, at least the 80's ones, not a fan of the newer ones. I roll around in an 82 S15 w/ the paint peeling off, I like dfriving old clunkers, it doesn't pay to have a really nice daily driver in NY, vehicles really only last about 10yrs before they start falling appart and become unsafe, winters are hard on our roads and vehicles, plus all the salt.... I get my vehicles from NC, rust free old vehicles are what I like, people pick on me because I make good money and drive cheap old clunkers. I pick on them for having $500 monthly car payments on something that doesn't get them anywhere my old clunkers can get me. Plus, if its old/pre 96, I can modify them however I want w/o worrying about the dreaded check engine light keeping it from being inspected.

You might want to be easy on that ford, they like to break and those tires aren't cheap, I am guessing 20's?

Anyways, how is that RC truck doing? Haha

I have had old cars my whole life (56 ford,54 ford,69 super bee, 69 el camino, 71 elcamino, etc) I always did my own work. I just got tired of working on them all the time. Plus it nice to be able to jump in a vehicle and drive wherever i want, and not stress about it making it. And im treating it good. I did a couple starts to light um up. But that was it. Just drove almost 700 mi and avg about 21mpg at 75mph. Not too bad. And the rims are 18's.
Oh yeah the rc is doing ok, got fourth at the state comp on Saturday. Was just happy to finish some courses after my "choke" at ECC, and a complete meltdown at our local comp 2 weeks ago (dead ass last). So it felt good this weekend to make the finals.

The El Caminos saved you in my book, they are about the coolest vehicle ever made in my book, I have yet to own one, someday. I will be embarking on a 1500 mile journey with my 82 S15 w/ 215,000 miles on it this week, taking my nephew his new Wheely King, and visiting my family. The old truck will make it, I am cinfident, if it doesn't, it will be an easy fix (unless the motor or tranny give out), I will bring duct tape and zip ties.

I hear about the mishap at states, too bad about that.
