Do I need to get hardened pins for the mann gears? What pinions/motors are other people running? What track width (tire outside to outside) front and rear? Thanks for the help Last edited by billj; 11-30-2010 at 07:47 AM. |

I am still running stock(drilled) gears and stock pins. Almost a year now with no problems. (knock, knock, knock)

Well finally got it out on some rocks for a shakedown run, got a few scratches on the axles Then a solder failure at the FXR and i puffed a battery Didnt get much time so hard to tell how the rig was doing. Got home and fixed the wire, and inverted the rear shocks(did the front yesterday) Last edited by billj; 11-30-2010 at 06:02 PM. |

After a closer look at your pics, use a piece of 1/4" delrin rod to tie the shocks together, at least the fronts. I worry about breaking the front off the chassis with out it as the chassis was designed with a cross member in that spot. Since we can't get new ones of we break them now, error on the side of caution. I have a bunch of 1/4" delrin rod if you are out to save you an order. Let me know and I will cut some for you tonight and bring it tomorrow along with your v2 CO caps for big bores. |
